This role involves working closely with program offices, engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, mission-critical capabilities that meet performance, operational, and mission requirements.\nResponsibilities\nDuties include, but not limited to:\nSupport engineering activities across all phases of the DoD acquisition lifecycle (Materiel Solution Analysis through Operations & Support)\nApply software engineering principles to support system design, development, integration, and sustainment efforts\nSupport requirements development, analysis, traceability, and verification for software and system-level capabilities\nPerform system design, integration, and technical analysis to ensure performance and mission effectiveness\nDevelop and review technical documentation, including system specifications, interface control documents, and engineering reports\nSupport technical reviews and program milestone activities (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR)\nCollaborate with program management, logistics, test, and cybersecurity teams to ensure integrated system performance\nAnalyze system performance and recommend improvements to enhance functionality, reliability, and maintainability\nSupport risk identification, analysis, and mitigation planning for technical and program risks\nProvide technical input to acquisition documentation and program decision-making processes\nQualifications\nCitizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen\nMinimum Required Qualifications:\nMust have and be able to maintain a Secret clearance\nBachelor’s degree in related discipline and 5 years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree in related discipline and 3 years of relevant experience\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience supporting system development, integration, or sustainment activities\nExperience applying engineering principles to support the development, integration, and sustainment of software-intensive systems\nExperience supporting requirements development, analysis, traceability, and verification within complex programs\nExperience contributing to system design, integration, and technical evaluation activities across the acquisition lifecycle\nExperience supporting technical reviews and program milestones (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR)\nExperience working within DoD acquisition environments or similar large-scale engineering programs\nABET-accredited MS and/or BS degree in computer science \nExperience working with C#, VB.Net, Javascript, Bootstrap, HTML5, AJAX, CSS, Oracle Databases, and/or JIRA a plus\nAdditionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following:\nTechnical Skills:\nSystems engineering processes, including requirements analysis, integration, verification, and validation\nSoftware development, integration, and testing within complex system environments\nFamiliarity with engineering tools, modeling, and simulation environments supporting system design and analysis\nAbility to analyze system performance and develop technical solutions to improve functionality and reliability\nKnowledge of configuration management practices and technical documentation development\nInterpersonal Skills:\nAbility to operate independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities applied to complex technical challenges\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information clearly\nAbility to support mission-critical programs in a fast-paced, collaborative environment\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving program needs\nAdditional Information:\nLocation: Hill AFB, UT\nTravel: May be required based on program needs\nWork Environment: Onsite\nCompany Overview\nOdyssey is a world-class technical, engineering, and integration company serving the warfighting ecosystem with airborne integration, ISR, C2, and warfighter readiness capabilities.
