While there may not be an immediate opening, candidates will be considered as positions become available based on their qualifications and program needs.\nOdyssey is seeking experienced Systems Engineers at various levels to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (ISR) and Special Operations Forces (SOF) Directorate (AFLCMC/WI) at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. AFLCMC/WI is responsible for equipping warfighters to win the fight. The Directorate executes a $22 billion acquisition portfolio developing, producing, testing, modifying, fielding, and supporting Air Force ISR and SOF platforms, and related sub-systems.\nThis role provides systems engineering support for DoD weapon systems, ensuring systems are secure, compliant, and resilient. The position works closely with program teams, senior leaders, and cybersecurity authorities to support system protection, risk management, and authorization activities.\nResponsibilities\nDuties may include, but are not limited to:\nSupport systems engineering activities across all phases of the DoD acquisition lifecycle (Materiel Solution Analysis through Operations & Support)\nSupport requirements development, analysis, traceability, and verification\nConduct system design, integration, and technical analysis activities\nDevelop and review technical documentation, including specifications, interface documents, and engineering reports\nSupport technical reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR) and program milestone activities\nCollaborate with program management, logistics, test, and cybersecurity teams to ensure integrated system performance\nAnalyze system performance and recommend design or process improvements\nSupport risk identification, analysis, and mitigation planning\nProvide technical input to acquisition documentation and program decision-making\nQualifications\nMinimum Required Qualifications:\nCitizenship: Must be a US Citizen\nClearance: Secret\nEducation and experience:\n Journeyman (level 2): Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field and 3 years of related experience, 3 of which must be in the DoD; OR, 7 years of directly related experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD.\n Senior (level 3): Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field and 10 years of related experience in the, 5 years of which must be in the DoD; OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of related experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD; OR, 15 years of directly related experience, 8 of which must be in the DoD\n Principal (level 4): Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field and at least 20 years of related experience, 12 years of which must be in the DoD; OR Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 25 years of related experience, 15 years of which must be in the DoD; OR, 30 years of directly related experience, 20 years of which must be in the DoD.\nExperience supporting DoD acquisition programs or equivalent engineering environments \nExperience supporting system development, integration, or sustainment activities\nPreferred Qualifications:\nTop Secret clearance\nUndergraduate and/or graduate engineering degree from a college or university with an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited engineering program.\nExperience with armament systems (air-to-air, air-to-surface munitions, missiles, or related systems)\nKnowledge of DoD acquisition lifecycle processes and DoDI 5000 series\nAdditionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following:\nTechnical Skills\nSystems engineering processes (requirements, integration, verification, validation)\nFamiliarity with engineering tools, modeling, and simulation environments\nRisk management and technical problem-solving\nConfiguration management and technical documentation\nInterpersonal Skills\nAbility to operate independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to support complex, mission-critical programs\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\nAdditional Information\nLocation: Wright Patterson AFB, OH\nTravel: Estimated 10%, as required by program needs\nWork Environment: Onsite/Hybrid/Remote\nThis is an evergreen position designed to proactively identify and engage highly qualified candidates for future openings across Odyssey’s portfolio of acquisition and program management support efforts.
