While there may not be an immediate opening, candidates will be considered as positions become available based on their qualifications and program needs.\nOdyssey is seeking experienced Acquisition Program Systems Engineers at various levels to join our talent community for anticipated opportunities supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Armament Directorate (AFLCMC/EB) at Eglin AFB, FL.\nOur Engineers support the government with designing, developing, integrating, and sustaining complex weapon systems and associated technologies across the full acquisition lifecycle. This includes systems engineering, mechanical design and analysis, and software development activities to ensure systems meet performance, reliability, and mission requirements.\nResponsibilities\nDuties may include, but are not limited to:\nSupport systems engineering activities across all phases of the DoD acquisition lifecycle (Materiel Solution Analysis through Operations & Support)\nSupport requirements development, analysis, traceability, and verification\nConduct system design, integration, and technical analysis activities\nDevelop and review technical documentation, including specifications, interface documents, and engineering reports\nSupport technical reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR) and program milestone activities\nCollaborate with program management, logistics, test, and cybersecurity teams to ensure integrated system performance\nAnalyze system performance and recommend design or process improvements\nSupport risk identification, analysis, and mitigation planning\nProvide technical input to acquisition documentation and program decision-making\nQualifications\nMinimum Required Qualifications:\nCitizenship: Must be a US Citizen\nClearance: Secret\nEducation and experience:\n Journeyman (level 2): Bachelor of Science degree in related discipline and 5 years of relevant experience; OR Master of Science degree in related discipline and 3 years of relevant experience\n Senior (level 3): Bachelor of Science degree in related discipline and 20 years of relevant experience; OR Master of Science degree in related discipline and 15 years of relevant experience; OR PhD in related discipline and 5 years of relevant experience\n Principal (level 4): Master of Science degree in related discipline and 25 years of relevant experience and recognized at national level in a relevant technical field, specialized engineering, or technology area. Published in the area of expertise and have taught formally in the area; OR PhD in related discipline and 25 years of relevant experience\nExperience supporting DoD acquisition programs or similar engineering environments\nExperience supporting system development, integration, and/or sustainment activities\nExperience with requirements management tools (DOORS or similar) and modeling tools (SysML or similar)\nPreferred Qualifications\nCurrent Top Secret clearance\nUndergraduate and/or graduate engineering degree from a college or university with an Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited engineering program\nExperience with armament systems (air-to-air, air-to-surface munitions, missiles, or related systems)\nKnowledge of DoD acquisition lifecycle processes and DoDI 5000 series\nAdditionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following:\nTechnical Skills\nExperience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS) and modeling tools (e.g., SysML)\nRisk management and technical problem-solving\nConfiguration management and technical documentation\nInterpersonal Skills\nAbility to operate independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to support complex, mission-critical programs\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\nAdditional Information\nLocation: Eglin AFB, FL\nTravel: May be required up to 10-20% depending on program needs\nWork Environment: OnsiteThis is an evergreen position designed to proactively identify and engage highly qualified candidates for future openings across Odyssey’s portfolio of acquisition and program management support efforts.
