This position provides the knowledge and experience to efficiently and effectively deliver weapons systems engineering capabilities in support of the acquisition process.\nThis position is located onsite at Eglin AFB, Florida. 9/80 work schedule is available.\nResponsibilities\nDuties may include, but are not limited to:\nAssist with the design, development, qualification, and testing of warheads, including mechanical design, manufacturing, energetic fills, and aircraft integration.\nTest plan design, review and/or oversight\nMaterial review and qualification testing\nSupport penetration modeling (such as Penetration Curve/PENCURV), fragmentation and penetration performance analysis, fatigue and stress analysis, and insensitive munitions work in accordance with MIL-STD-810G and MIL-STD-2105C.\nProvide materials engineering support, including identifying suitable materials, advising on material composition and processing, and developing or improving fabrication and processing techniques.\nPerform testing and evaluation of materials, corrosion control, failure analysis, and contribute to developing or revising inspection techniques, specification standards, and maintenance procedures across the product life cycle.\nTravel to supplier and test sites\nQualifications\nMinimum Required Qualifications:\nCitizenship: Must be a US Citizen\nClearance: Current Secret Clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance\nEducation and experience:\nBachelor of Science degree in related discipline and 8 years of relevant experience; OR Master of Science degree in related discipline and 6 years of relevant experience; OR PhD in related discipline and 2 years of relevant experience\nExperience with composites (preferably carbon fiber)\nPreferred Qualifications\nCurrent Top Secret clearance\nKnowledge of carbon process flow manufacturing techniques\nFamiliarity with high temperature materials testing\nExperience with quality testing and review\nExperience developing and reviewing test plans\nExperience with armament systems (air-to-air, air-to-surface munitions, missiles, or related systems)\nKnowledge of DoD acquisition lifecycle processes and DoDI 5000 series\nAdditionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following:\nTechnical Skills\nRisk management and technical problem-solving\nConfiguration management and technical documentation\nInterpersonal Skills\nAbility to operate independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nAbility to support complex, mission-critical programs\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\nAdditional Information\nLocation: Eglin AFB, FL\nTravel: 25-50%\nWork Environment: Onsite.\n9/80 work schedule is available.\nCompany Overview\nOdyssey is a world-class technical, engineering, and integration company serving the warfighting ecosystem with airborne integration, ISR, C2, and warfighter readiness capabilities.
