In this Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) role, you will provide mechanical engineering support across the acquisition lifecycle to ensure weapon systems, subsystems, and support equipment meet program objectives for cost, schedule, performance, and compliance.\nThis is a full-time onsite position at Hill AFB, Utah.\nResponsibilities\nDuties include, but not limited to:\nProvide mechanical/aerospace/materials engineering support across the acquisition, development, and sustainment lifecycle.\nApply advanced engineering principles to ensure technical efforts align with program objectives, cost, schedule, and performance requirements.\nAssist with engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and technical recommendations supporting system and equipment performance.\nSupport planning and execution of complex engineering tasks involving:\nStatics, Dynamics, Tribology\nMechanical wear, Fatigue, Corrosion\nFluid dynamics, Thermodynamics\nAssist in the generation and interpretation of technical data packages, including 2D drawings and 3D models.\nSupport testing, evaluation, life prediction, and standardization of materials and material properties used in engineering design.\nProvide technical inputs to briefings, technical reviews, and program documentation in support of Government decision-making.\nCollaborate within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to support mission execution and program success.\nQualifications\nCitizenship: Must be a US citizen\nMinimum Required Qualifications\nMust have and be able to maintain an active Secret clearance\nBachelor’s degree in related discipline from an ABET-accredited engineering program and 7 years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree in related discipline from an ABET-accredited engineering program and 5 years of relevant experience\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in related discipline from an ABET-accredited engineering program and 20 years of relevant experience; OR Master’s degree in related discipline from an ABET-accredited engineering program and 15 years of relevant experience; OR PhD in related discipline from an ABET-accredited engineering program and 5 years of relevant experience\nAdditionally, the successful candidate will have the following:\n Technical Skills\nMechanical engineering fundamentals (Statics, Dynamics, Wear, Fatigue, Corrosion, Tribology)\nFluid dynamics and thermodynamics analysis\nTechnical data package review (2D drawings, 3D models)\nMaterials engineering concepts including life prediction and standardization\nEngineering support for acquisition, development, and sustainment programs\nInterpersonal Skills\nStrong written and verbal communication\nStrong analytical problem-solving skills\nAbility to collaborate effectively in IPT environments\nHigh attention to detail and ability to support multiple priorities\nAdditional Information\nLocation: Hill AFB, UTTravel: Travel may be required at the customer’s discretion\nOnsite\nCompany Overview\nOdyssey is a world-class technical, engineering, and integration company serving the warfighting ecosystem with airborne integration, ISR, C2, and warfighter readiness capabilities.
