The division oversees comprehensive lifecyle support of the HH-60W Jolly Green II Combat Rescue Helicopter.\nThis role provides systems integration expertise in planning, analyzing, and evaluating efforts used to define total weapons systems/subsystem requirements, translate requirements into design criteria, evaluate alternative design approaches, develop system specifications, and perform technological/trade-off study assessments of proposed designs.\nResponsibilities\nDuties may include, but are not limited to:\nSupport systems integration engineering activities for aircraft research, development, production, lifecycle acquisition, and sustainment\nAssist with technical planning, system integration, risk analysis, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for SOF systems, including weapons system trainers, operational flight trainers, avionics desktop trainers, courseware, and maintenance training devices.\nProvide engineering leadership and technical direction in the development of systems operating within large-scale distributed and virtualized environments.\nApply engineering knowledge of networking principles and implementations, including (but not limited to) Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), User Datagram Protocol (UDP), Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).\nDevelop solutions and support engineering activities on Windows, Sun, Linux, or Unix platforms using languages such as C, C++, and Java.\nProvide guidance on Information Assurance (IA) accreditation and implement IA controls\nDeliver technical expertise, guidance, and required artifacts to support systems integration, Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E), and airworthiness certification\nQualifications\nMinimum Required Qualifications\nCitizenship: Must be a US Citizen\nClearance: Secret\nEducation and experience:\nMaster’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field and 10 years of related experience in the, 5 years of which must be in the DoD;\nOR an ABET accredited Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of related experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD; OR, 15 years of directly related experience, 8 of which must be in the DoD\nAdditionally, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following:\nTechnical Skills\nExperience in the development of systems utilizing networking principles and implementation, including but not limited to TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, and SSL.\nDevelopment experience with C, C++, and Java on Windows, Sun, Linux and/or Unix platforms\nInterpersonal Skills\nAbility to clearly communicate complex technical information\nAbility to lead and guide multidisciplinary teams\nEffective problem-solving and critical-thinking skills\nStrong organization and attention to detail\nAdaptability in fast-changing technical environments\nSound professional judgment when handling sensitive information\nAdditional Information\nLocation: Wright Patterson AFB, OH\nTravel: May be required up to 10-20% depending on program needs\nWork Environment: Hybrid\nCompany Overview\nOdyssey is a world-class technical, engineering, and integration company serving the warfighting ecosystem with airborne integration, ISR, C2, and warfighter readiness capabilities.
