The intern will work with and provide support to one of the following departments within Continental: Drilling, Completions, Production, Resource Development or Project Management. In any department, the engineer intern will have the opportunity for both field- and office-based experiences.\nThe intern will be assigned a department-specific project and is expected to present a summary of the results of their work. These projects vary in scope but typically require the intern to learn and understand current practices, identify areas for improvement, evaluate potential solutions, and recommend an implementation with supporting evidence or review the results of an implemented solution.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nIn addition to a summer project, the engineering intern will have the opportunity to:\nReview, understand and participate in Continental’s Brother’s Keeper program\n\nReview daily operation and production reports\n\nMonitor and forecast capital expenditure, expenses, and production\n\nParticipate in and contribute to asset team meetings\n\nMaintain, update and QC databases, reports, and records\n\nUnderstand and articulate the responsibilities of assigned discipline\n\nContribute to fellow interns’ understanding of assigned discipline\n\nInterface with inter-departmental peers and mentors\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nSkills and Competencies\nExcellent analytical, verbal and written communication.\n\nProficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.\n\nStrong customer focus and a team player.\n\nEffective time management.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nCurrent enrollment in an ABET accredited four (4) year College or University\n\nWorking towards a Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University\n\nEligible to work permanently in the United States upon graduation\n\nAn acceptable pre-employment background and drug test\n\nValid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nMinimum 3.0 GPA\n\nPhysical Requirements\nRequires prolonged sitting, some bending and
