Connect with us!\n Responsible for leading all logistics and supply chain functions across the organization, including strategic direction, operational execution, compliance, and team leadership. This role ensures the efficient planning, procurement, storage, distribution, and transportation of materials and finished goods to meet customer and business requirements.\nThe position combines strategic oversight with hands-on leadership of day-to-day logistics operations, driving performance, continuous improvement, and regulatory compliance.\nKey Responsibilities\nLeadership & Strategy\nDevelop and execute the overall logistics and materials management strategy\nLead, coach, and develop logistics team members; manage staffing, performance, and succession planning\nEstablish departmental goals, KPIs, and performance metrics; monitor and report results\nDrive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement\nOperations Management\nOversee all logistics functions including:Shipping and receiving\nInventory management and control\nProcurement coordination\nDistribution and warehousing\n\nPlan and allocate resources (people, equipment, materials) to optimize productivity\nManage carrier selection, routing, and freight optimization\nMaintain and update all customer-specific logistics requirements and routings\nAct as primary escalation point for logistics-related customer issues\nSupply Chain & Systems\nEnsure effective planning, order fulfillment, and inventory control processes\nEvaluate, implement, and maintain logistics systems (ERP, EDI, labeling, etc.)\nOptimize storage, transportation, and distribution networks\nSupport digitalization and process improvement initiatives\nCompliance & Risk Management\nEnsure compliance with:International trade and customs regulations (CBSA, CBP, export/import controls)\nTrade programs (CTPAT, PIP)\nQuality standards (IATF 16949, MMOG)\nEnvironmental standards (ISO 14001)\nHealth & Safety regulations\n\nStay current on trade regulations, freight trends, and market conditions\nMaintain all policies, procedures, and security protocols\nFinancial & Administrative Accountability\nDevelop, manage, and monitor departmental budgets\nAnalyze and approve logistics-related costs and CAPEX projects\nManage financial aspects of logistics operations including cost control and reporting\nContinuous Improvement\nLead continuous improvement initiatives across logistics operations\nReview and revise procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness\nSupport root cause analysis and corrective actions (e.g., 8D, 5Y)\nExternal & Stakeholder Management\nManage relationships with external warehouses, distribution centers, and logistics providers\nRepresent company interests with vendors and service providers\nAct as key liaison between logistics, operations, sales, and customers\n Knowledge, Skills & Abilities\nStrong knowledge of supply chain and logistics operations in a manufacturing environment\nProficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and logistics tools (EDI, ASN platforms, courier systems)\nUnderstanding of international trade, customs regulations, and compliance programs\nFinancial acumen including budgeting and cost analysis\nLeadership and people management skills\nStrong communication and stakeholder management abilities\nExperience with continuous improvement methodologies\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and related systems\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (preferred)\nMinimum 5-7 years of logistics experience in a manufacturing environment\nMinimum 3-5 years in a leadership role\nExperience with international trade compliance and customs regulations\nFamiliarity with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 preferred\nCertifications (Preferred / As Required)\nForklift, Overhead Crane, Aerial Platform\nTDG and WHMIS\nTrade and compliance certifications (asset)\n Comprehensive benefit package \nCompany match Pension Contribution\nOpportunities for Advancement\nAccess to Online Learning\nClimate controlled facility\nOetiker is an equal opportunity employer.\nWe are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace and welcome applications from all qualified individuals, regardless of race, gender, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected status.
