Connect with us!\n Position Summary\nThe Production Scheduler is responsible for developing and executing production plans for press operations to ensure that customer demand is met on time. This role manages inventory levels through data-driven planning, , and collaborates cross-functionally to maintain efficient production flow and capacity utilization. This role integrates demand planning, supply planning, and execution through the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring schedule stability, high service levels, and alignment with operational and financial goals.\nEssential Functions \nProduction Planning & Scheduling\nUtilize ERP/MRP systems to develop and maintain production schedules in correct packaging aligned with customer demand\nCoordinate schedule execution with cross-functional teams including production, purchasing, and logistics\nCreate capacity requirements and perform level loading based on production inputs\nAdjust production plans proactively to mitigate risks and ensure on-time delivery\nCapacity & Resource Management\nAnalyze capacity constraints and develop actionable solutions to support demand changes\nSupport production team in planning labor hours and machine capacity requirements\nIdentify bottlenecks and recommend improvements to maintain optimal throughput\nOrder & Inventory Management\nCreate and release production orders, including packaging instructions, based on ERP/MRP outputs\nEstablish and maintain minimum and maximum inventory levels using historical data and forecasts\nMonitor inventory levels and ensure alignment with safety stock and operational needs\nPerformance Monitoring & Reporting\nDevelop and maintain key performance metrics\nProvide regular reports and insights to support decision-making\nContinuous Improvement & Compliance\nSupport or lead continuous improvement initiatives aligned with world-class manufacturing practices\nIdentify opportunities to enhance planning accuracy, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness\nEnsure compliance with IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS) standards\n Education \nCollege degree in a manufacturing or supply chain related field or equivalent experience\nExperience / Skills / Competencies \nExperience in a high-volume manufacturing environment required\nExperience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred)\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills\nDeep understanding of Production Scheduling (MPS), MRP logic, and capacity planning\nAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel\nSolid organizational and time management abilities\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\n At Oetiker, we don’t just sell parts - we engineer confidence.
