technically sound legal advice on a range of corporate, investment funds and finance matters for the Jersey based BVI in Europe team at Ogier, building and maintaining productive relationships with clients and intermediaries.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport senior fee earners by providing technically sound legal advice directly to clients with appropriate supervision\nDeliver chargeable hour's budget\nManage 'work in progress and debt' in accordance with business standards\nContribute to producing fee estimates and quotations\nEnsure clients are fully informed as to the fees and disbursements that will be incurred on each matter and provide updates as required\nUnderstand the full range of services offered by Ogier and seek opportunities to develop new client work\nDeliver excellent client service at all times\nCoach and develop, in conjunction with seniors, the development of juniors\nSkills, Knowledge and Expertise\nQualified Lawyer, ideally at 3 to 4 years PQE level\nPrior experience of BVI law not a pre-requisite for the role, but would be an advantage\nExcellent academic background, including 2:1 at degree, plus Commendation/Distinction at LPC (or equivalent)\nExperience from a relevant law firm environment, ideally within a Magic/Silver Circle firm (or equivalent)\nExcellent drafting and written communication skills\nBuild commercial awareness and share knowledge and relevant new information with your immediate team in know how sessions\nKeep up to date with technology and business tools relevant to the role\nBe proactive in ensuring all financial matters are timely and up to date\nBegin to develop negotiating skills with client when producing fee estimates and quotations\nAbility to spot, identify and follow through business development opportunities\nBuild productive and strong relationships both internally and externally\nAbility to delegate appropriate tasks to juniors\nAssist with the coaching of bursary students and summer interns as and when appropriate\nPromote team work and develop strong relationships with immediate team
