This role is responsible for managing a small team of Supply Chain Operators and Warehouse Operatives/Specialists.\nActing as a role model, you will undertake all aspects of team management, including ensuring the quality and on-time, in-full delivery of assigned products to meet demand requirements. This is a hands-on role, which you will be expected to undertake routine packaging and warehouse work for at least 50% of the role, whilst demonstrating and modelling best practice. You will ensure the team comply with all established processes and procedures within the Quality Management System.\nWhat you’ll be doing for us\nAnticipate demand and plan resources up to two weeks ahead, ensuring the team is prepared for upcoming priorities and service requirements\nLead the team tier meeting at the start and end of each day, ensuring that key issues and actions are clearly identified and prioritised\nCoordinate actions raised at tier meetings to ensure they are closed out effectively\nReview outstanding work relating to stock shortfalls and customer demand, prioritise team activities, and assign duties\nReview finished goods inventory levels and process kits accordingly\nLiaise with Customer Services to ensure customer orders are fulfilled, prepared, and dispatched on time\nIdentify and investigate the root causes of performance variation and propose improvements or resolutions to ensure consistent quality, following the change-control requirements defined in the quality systems\nMonitor adherence to quality procedures daily, ensuring activities are completed in line with the Quality Management System and that any gaps or non-compliances are identified, escalated, and addressed promptly\nModel company values, lead by example with a safety-first approach, and continually challenge the team to improve processes\nRaise improvement and non-conforming material incidents, conduct investigations and root-cause analyses, and implement corrections and corrective actions\nPlan the onboarding and ongoing training of new starters. Upskill all team members to optimise team efficiency and drive engagement\nBe accountable for the quality of kit assembly and dispatch output and for on-time, in-full delivery\nConduct return-to-work and absence-review meetings, performance reviews, goal setting and development-planning activities\nTake responsibility for recruiting team members and onboarding new starters\nOversee and ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the kit assembly and warehouse areas, including bench areas and fridges/freezers\nProvide regular feedback on team progress and write update reports as required\nConduct fortnightly one-to-one meetings with each team member\nWrite and update SOPs, BMRs, and other required documentation\nAdhere to procedures documented in the Quality Management System and ensure that non-compliances are reported promptly using approved procedures\nUndertake additional compliance training to further support the department and ongoing development programmes\nReport any safety-related or other issues to the Inventory and Dispatch Manager, including completing the relevant documentation. Resolve issues independently when trained and able to do so\nComplete any other tasks commensurate with the level and nature of the post, as delegated by the Inventory and Dispatch Manager.\nWhat we are looking for in you\nEssential\nMore than 12 months’ experience in a manufacturing or operations environment, or equivalent\nA growth mindset, with an active focus on opportunities for improvement, simplification, and waste reduction\nA right-first-time approach, with strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills\nEffective written and verbal communication skills\nThe ability to work collaboratively as part of a team\nThe ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment\nThe ability to act as a role-model team lead, with a hands-on approach, a flexible attitude to daily work and responsibilities, and the ability to lead by example\nA demonstrably good understanding of and experience with applicable quality and regulatory requirements, such as ISO 9001, ISO 13485, 21 CFR Part 820, and dangerous goods shipping\nGood teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, train, and support others\nA proactive and independent approach, with a high level of autonomy and initiative\nAttention to detail and a systematic approach\nComputer literacy\nA calm approach and the ability to act promptly when responding to production-critical troubleshooting\nExperience of training others.\nDesirable\nKnowledge and experience of customer service, ERP, export, dispatch, and production processes\nExperience with Sage 200
