About the Role
Are you a proactive self-starter passionate about making a real impact across Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) pillars while fostering a vibrant internal community?
We are seeking a highly motivated ESG and Social Intern to join our team for 12 months. Reporting directly to the Senior Director for Culture and Learning, you will play a pivotal role in delivering on our ESG commitments. This ranges from environmental tracking and ESG reporting to the social moments that make Ogury unique-including milestone recognition, belonging initiatives, and wellbeing events.
This is an exceptional opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, global corporate environment, with real ownership over some of our most visible internal engagement programs from day one.
Why You Will Love This Role
Own Flagship Moments: Independently run some of our most visible community programs-our global People Connection calendar, Community Day, and milestone gifts-end-to-end, not just in a support role.
Build AI Fluency: Bring your curiosity for AI tools and use them to work faster and smarter. You will learn to leverage AI for drafting communications, pulling insights, and generating campaign ideas-building real-world productivity skills.
Work With Senior Stakeholders: Design internal campaigns, pitch them to leadership, and rally employee champions across 18 countries to bring each initiative to life globally.
Broaden Your Impact: Move beyond theory. You will work across all three pillars of ESG-from carbon footprint measurement and SBTi certification work to DEI campaigns and employee wellbeing.
What You Will Be Doing
1. Environmental & Governance
Carbon Footprint & SBTi: Support our carbon footprint measurement and activities related to maintaining our SBTi certification, collaborating with global stakeholders to gather and organize data.
Sustainability Partnerships: Support partnerships focused on environmental impact programs, helping promote them internally and communicating our progress.
ESG Reporting and Education: Help compile inputs for our annual ESG/sustainability reporting, and play an active role in educating and engaging employees on global ESG initiatives and topics.
2. Social & DEI Initiatives
DEI Campaigns: Provide end-to-end management for key diversity, equity, and inclusion internal campaigns-from planning and execution to post-campaign analysis-raising awareness and building connection.
DEI Strategy Support: Map out the external DE&I landscape using AI tools for competitive benchmarking, providing creative recommendations and scoping potential future partnerships or initiatives that align with our broader goals.
Community Champions: Build and nurture our employee champions network, identifying and engaging employees worldwide motivated by sustainability and social impact.
3. Employee Experience & Wellbeing
People Connection Calendar: Design and deliver purpose-led events on our global calendar (e.g., Community day), using AI tools to brainstorm concepts, draft content, and coordinate local event logistics.
Milestone & Tenure Programs: Independently own milestone programs for new joiners and long-service anniversaries, managing vendor relationships, budget tracking, and global distribution logistics.
Wellbeing Initiatives: Plan and execute wellness events, interactive health activities, and manage the day-to-day administration and internal promotion of our wellbeing platform.
What You Will Bring to Ogury
- Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Human Resources, Sustainability, Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Prior internship, volunteer, or event-coordination experience is a plus.
- Tech & Data Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Comfortable working with data trends.
- AI Curiosity: A genuine interest in AI tools, with a habit of using them to boost your own productivity and efficiency (e.g., text drafting, basic data analysis, idea generation).
- Languages: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
- Key Skills: Highly organized with a keen eye for detail and the capacity to manage multiple live projects simultaneously.
- Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a global, remote-friendly team.
- Mindset: A self-starter attitude; you are energized by the chance to create, co-create, and pitch ideas to stakeholders at every level of the organization.
