The BPSI is a 10 week summer internship program that will expose the students to various areas of the health system.\nMust be currently enrolled as a junior in a bachelor's degree program who seeks to support the mission of our program.\nMust be in good academic standing and have a minimum overall college GPA of 3.0.\nStudents must major in Business, Healthcare, Public Health, Psychology, or other healthcare related majors.\nStudents must be available for 38 hours in-person per week.\nMust be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.\nThis program is open to all students who meet the above criteria. It is particularly well-suited for those who have demonstrated an interest in public service, health access for all, and/or community engagement. We also encourage applications from students who may not have had previous exposure to healthcare leadership and are eager to explore the field further.\nThe summer intern(s) will work in a fast-paced team environment and finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of the health system. Up to (6) interns will be paired with an Executive Leader who will mentor the student throughout the internship. In addition to leadership mentoring each intern will have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects, participate in personal and professional development, opportunities to volunteer, monthly lunch and learns and various activities throughout the summer. The project focus areas include, but are not limited to Hospital Administration, Operations, Human Resources, Ambulatory Services and Mental and Behavioral Health. At the conclusion of the internship, students will have the opportunity to present their summer experience to senior leaders.\nThe OSUWMC Pathways internship program is a paid summer internship.
