You can review the additional job description section on postings for documents that may be required.\n\nPrior to submitting your application, please review and update (if necessary) the information in your candidate profile as it will transfer to your application.\n\nJob Title:\nFacilities Engineering ManagerDepartment:\nAdministration and Planning | FOD Operations SupportUnder the supervision of the Assistant Director of Support Services, the Facilities Engineering Manager:\nProvides direction and supervision for the day-to-day and planned activities of the Maintenance Engineering Group\nTroubleshoots building system operation for current and potential building system maintenance problems\nMaintains equipment histories as necessary for assigned areas\nReviews plans and specifications\nManagers repairs, and construction projects for operations concerns/issues related to maintainability and life cycle costs of building systems and components\nProvides oversight and direction to the preventive maintenance program\nRecommends improvements to building systems based on data and engineering best practices\nNormal schedule is 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, but is subject to changes in shift, hours, days, and/or location as operations dictate.\nIn accordance with the Disaster Preparedness and University State of Emergency Policy 6.17, this position has been designated as a standby position.\nMinimum Education Required: Bachelor’s Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience\nRequired Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related technical field or equivalent; 5 years of relevant experience, valid Driver's License; contract management background, knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical equipment and systems, building standards, building systems maintenance, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, lubrication techniques and materials, measurement equipment and related recording systems, understand and interpret technical instructions, plan reading.\nDESIRED Qualifications: 8-12 years of relevant experience; Considerable experience in building systems operations, work group management; building system controls; preventive maintenance program development and oversight; Professional Engineer (PE) certification or Certified Energy Manger (CEM) certification.\nAdditional Information:\nThe target hiring range for this job profile is $88,300 - $115,350 annually.
