The Instrumentation Coordinatorensures equipment, instruments, and supplies can be reused safely to prevent infections. This position is for ensuringsterilized, appropriately functioning medical supplies and instrumentation are packaged and delivered to the point use aseptically.Additionally, this position needs to serve as a clinical liaisonbetween the Operating Rooms and the CSS offsite location to track and allocatesterilized instrumentation across the Enterprise. This position will also be responsible forprocuring, and standardizing instrument trays across the Enterprise.This position will be utilized24/7 in multiple reprocessing sites across the Health System, to include Ross Heart Hospital, University Hospital, James Cancer Hospital, Same Day Surgery, University Hospital Eastand all Ambulatory sites.
Position Summary: Coordination and oversight of daily activities between the Operating Roomand Sterile Processing Departments to facilitateefficient case flow, through efficient case cart assembly and decontamination, assemblyand sterilization/high level disinfectionof all reprocessed surgical inventory. Responsible for assistingin projects and process improvement. Promotes customer service and patient satisfaction through effective communication with Operating Room clinical operations and multiple sterile processing departments across the Medical Center.Also responsible for ordering, procuringand organizing instrument trays on a global level to service the entire Enterprise.

Requires 1 Year experience and CRCST or CBSPD certification.
