Scope of Position

Under the direction of a pharmacist and in coordination with other technicians,thePharmacy TechnicianApprenticeisresponsible forpackaging, preparation, and distribution of medications, inventory control, customer serviceand maintaining pharmacy records. The Technician must comply with all rules and regulationsof the hospital and pharmacy department.Must maintainregistration with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacy Technician Trainee through an Ohio Public High School Approved Pharmacy Technician Training Program.

Position Summary

This position functions to assistthe licensed pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical services to patientsandnecessary services and information to nursing and medical staff. These services include preparation and packaging of medications;distribution of medications, supplies,and equipment;maintainingproper inventory levels;ensuring medications are indate and secure;and keeping appropriate recordsand documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

For Hire: Registration with Ohio State Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacy Technician Trainee through an Ohio Public High School Approved Pharmacy Technician Training Program.

Must be at least 17 years of age.
