We create places for communities of people that help solve a problem and drive them forward- advancing the whole community today and well into the future.\nWhat You Will Contribute to OHM Advisors\nAs a Civil Designer at OHM Advisors, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality design solutions across a variety of projects, including water resources, site development, environmental, transportation, and construction management. You will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other professionals to develop innovative designs that support mixed-use and public-private partnership projects. Your expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design tools will drive project success from conception to completion, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with industry standards.\nYour Responsibilities\nCAD Drawing, Design Review, and Analysis:\nUtilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to create detailed civil engineering drawings.\nPrepare site design plans, including geometric layouts, grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion control, and construction details.\nResearch and apply relevant land development codes, drainage manuals, and entitlement processes.\nAnalyze sketches, notes, and other materials to determine the best approach for design completion.\nCoordination and Communication:\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers and project managers, to develop design plans and specifications.\nAssist in coordinating design efforts across various project disciplines.\nIdentify potential design conflicts and provide solutions to engineers.\nWhen applicable, provide guidance and support to junior CAD technicians or team members to assist with their skill development.\nQuality Control, Documentation, and Reporting:\nPerform quality control reviews of construction documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project standards.\nComplete redline markups in AutoCAD Civil 3D.\nGenerate quantity tables, pay items, and design spreadsheets.\nAssist in compiling construction plans and submittals for project delivery.\nRequirements\nHigh school diploma or GED required; additional technical training or coursework in civil engineering design is a plus.\n5 years of CAD drafting experience in a professional setting, or equivalent education and training that provides the necessary skills for the role.\nAdvanced knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and its functionality.\nExperience with additional software such as GIS, AutoTurn, Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Office Suite.\nStrong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.\nPassion for advancing communities through innovative design solutions.\nDetail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.\nSelf-motivated with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.\nBenefits\nAt OHM Advisors, our people are our greatest asset.
