Oversee all aspects of projects, from preliminary engineering to construction, including design, documentation, cost estimation, and QA/QC.\nProject Leadership/Management:\nLead multi-disciplinary teams on transportation projects.\nProject manager for structural projects including projects that are small to those that are large and include multiple disciplines. \nDevelop and manage project scope, schedule, and budget.\nOversee project quality and deliverables.\nMentor and support entry-level staff.\nManage project task budgets, work plans, sub-consultants, and schedules.\nSolve challenging problems and advance client goals.\nTeam Management & Communication:\nEnsure work is completed as planned and scheduled.\nInitiate and maintain communication with key project individuals.\nLead development of graphic design packages, proposals, and presentations.\nDocument and present work clearly and concisely to team and clients.\nParticipate in interviews and the hiring process. \nTechnical Expertise:\nDesign infrastructure, prepare construction documents, and conduct cost estimating.\nMaintain team standards and procedures, check calculations, and conduct QA/QC.\nSupport project planning and funding processes.\nWorking use of OpenRoads Designer to complete bridge design.\nUnderstanding of design criteria, standards, and specifications.\nStrong background is structural analysis.\nComplete load ratings in AASHTOWare BrR\nWork in ProjectWise. \nObtain permits for structural projects including those for local, state and federal funding sources. \nQualified Team Leader for bridge inspections as dictated by FHWA and MDOT\nRequirements\nMinimum of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 2 years of experience as Transportation Project Manager or Transportation Engineer or related occupation for municipal roadway projects.
