Collaborating closely with senior engineers and project managers, you will assist in designing and implementing innovative infrastructure solutions that enhance communities. You will leverage your technical knowledge to ensure project success while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic and team-focused environment.\nYour Responsibilities\nAssist in the design and preparation of engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates for municipal infrastructure projects, including water, sewer, stormwater, and roadways.\nPerform calculations and modeling for drainage systems, utilities, grading, and other civil engineering tasks.\nSupport the preparation of reports, technical memoranda, and other project documentation.\nConduct fieldwork, including site assessments, data collection, and construction observation, as needed.\nEnsure project compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.\nCommunicate effectively with internal teams, municipal clients, and regulatory agencies to coordinate project requirements.\nSupport QA/QC processes by reviewing designs, reports, and calculations for accuracy and completeness.\nStay current with industry best practices, tools, and software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling programs.\nContribute to project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning under the guidance of senior engineers.\nAssist in the preparation of permit applications and regulatory submissions.\nRequirements\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.\nEngineer-in-Training (EIT) required, with intent to pursue PE licensure within a defined timeframe.\n3-5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, municipal infrastructure, or related fields (internship experience applicable).\nProficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D; familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software (e.g., HydroCAD, HEC-RAS, StormCAD) is a plus.\nUnderstanding of zoning, subdivision regulations, and municipal design standards.\nKnowledge of construction observation and field practices.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively in a team environment.\nProactive mindset with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.\nBenefits\nAt OHM Advisors, our people are our greatest asset.
