Description:\nSupplier Quality Assurance (SQA)\nUnderstand drawing and specification requirements, develop QC plans & MFRs, FAIs\nInspect incoming raw materials, components, and purchased parts as per defined specifications and standards.\nVerify conformance to drawings, purchase requirements, and quality standards.\nIdentify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials.\nCoordinate with suppliers for rejection, return, and corrective actions.\nSupport supplier evaluation and monitor supplier quality performance.\nIncoming Quality Assurance (IQA)\nConduct incoming inspection and ensure only conforming materials are released for production use.\nDevelop inspection and sampling methodology and use of statistical tools to develop and maintain QC programs\nMaintain inspection records, material inspection reports, and traceability.\nEnsure adherence to inspection plans, standards, and quality procedures.\nEnsure proper identification and disposition of non-conforming materials (rework / return / scrap).\nQuality Problem Solving & Improvement\nUse quality tools such as 7 QC tools, 5-Why analysis, and Fishbone diagrams to investigate issues.\nAssist in reducing material rejection, scrap, and rework through effective analysis and actions.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean, 5S).\nDocumentation & Compliance\nMaintain quality documentation including inspection reports, NCRs, and CAPA records.\nEnsure compliance with ISO 9001 and internal quality management system requirements.\nSupport internal and external audits related to incoming material quality.\nPrepare and present quality and rejection trend reports.\nSupport to Manufacturing / Process Team\nWork closely with manufacturing/process teams to analyze rejections happening on the production line due to material issues.\nParticipate in root cause analysis of material-related defects identified at the manufacturing stage.\nSupport implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurrence.\nProvide feedback to suppliers and internal teams on material quality issues affecting production.\nTrack rejection trends linked to incoming materials and drive improvement actions.\nEducation and Experience Required :\nB.E / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Electronics or related fields\nQuality certifications (ISO, Lean Six Sigma, etc.) are an added advantage\n3-5 years of experience in Quality, particularly in incoming quality inspection (IQA) and supplier quality (SQA)\nFamiliarity with measuring instruments (caliper, micrometer, height gauge, etc.), analytical techniques and advanced measurement systems.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances.\nKnowledge of NCR, rejection handling, and CAPA processes.\nExposure to material rejection analysis and supplier coordination is preferred.\nExperience in manufacturing sector (engineering goods, products, automotive, EMS) is Engineer will be responsible to ensure the quality of incoming raw materials and components used in manufacturing. The role focuses on supplier quality, incoming inspection, and effective resolution of material-related rejections in a product/equipment/engineering industry.
