This role involves using advanced metrology equipment and techniques to verify the accuracy and integrity of parts and components.\nKey Responsibilities:\n1. Product Inspection\nPerform first article (non GD&T) first-off, in-process, last-off and final inspection of parts and assemblies.\n\nVerify dimensions using approved measuring equipment and gauges.\n\nVerify product conformity against engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and customer requirements\n\nInspect critical and key characteristics in accordance with control plans and customer requirements\n\nIdentify and report non-conforming product to the appropriate authority.\n\n2. Measurement and Metrology Activities\nPerform complex dimensional inspection using a wide range of measurement equipment including but not limited to:\nVernier calipers\n\nMicrometers\n\nHeight gauges\n\nThread gauges\n\nPlug gauges\n\nPin gauges\n\nDial indicators\n\nHardness Tester\n\nXRF analyser (Niton Gun)\n\nPerform 2D Faro Arm measurements- lengths, hole positions, angles, bends, etc.\n\nSupport measurement system analysis (MSA) and gauge capability studies and any other advanced metrology activities as required.\n\n3. Drawing and Specification Interpretation\nRead and interpret complex engineering drawings.\n\nUnderstand basic GD&T requirements.\n\nVerify dimensions, tolerances, and drawing notes.\n\nEnsure inspection activities are performed to the latest approved revision.\n\n4. Documentation and Record Keeping\nComplete inspection reports and check sheets accurately.\n\nMaintain product traceability records.\n\nRecord inspection results in quality databases and manufacturing systems.\n\nEnsure documentation is complete and legible.\n\n5. Control of Non-Conforming Product\nIdentify suspected non-conforming material.\n\nSegregate and label non-conforming product in accordance with company procedures.\n\nSupport containment activities when quality issues are identified.\n\nEscalate quality concerns to the Quality Supervisor, Quality Engineer or Quality Manager.\n\n6. Calibration and Equipment Control and Care\nVerify measuring equipment is within calibration before use.\n\nSupport calibration scheduling and control activities\n\nHandle inspection equipment carefully to prevent damage.\n\nReport damaged or overdue calibration equipment.\n\nMaintain cleanliness and organization of inspection equipment.\n\n7. Compliance, Quality System Support and Audits\nFollow company Quality Management System procedures.\n\nComply with customer, regulatory, and aerospace requirements.\n\nConduct in-process Inspection audits and patrol checks\n\nParticipate in internal audits and continuous improvement activities when required.\n\nSupport First Article Inspection activities under supervision.\n\nSupport internal, customer, and third-party audits.\n\nProvide objective evidence during audits and investigations\n\n8.
