This role requires in-depth knowledge of air and ocean import processes and a proactive approach to problem-solving and process optimization.\nSalary Range: From $31.73 hourly to $37.02 hourly. \n The actual pay may vary based on several factors, including professional experience, hiring location, skills and competencies.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nMentor and train staff in import processes and best practices.\nIdentify opportunities for process optimization and bring awareness to the leadership team to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with key clients, serving as the primary point of contact for complex inquiries and issues.\nProactively address client needs and recommend solutions to enhance service delivery.\nManage high-volume and complex air and ocean import transactions, including booking, documentation, billing and job costing.\nInvoice customers per rate cards or approved quotes in a timely manner, ensuring adherence to established KPIs and accuracy standards.\nIssue and process profit share in accordance with company policies and established financial guidelines.\nTrack and analyze shipment data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.\nMeet all operational KPIs, including but not limited to billing performance, task adoption, and milestone management.\nEnsure all import operations comply with local and international regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.\nStay updated on changes in regulations that may impact import processes.\nPrepare and review all necessary import documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.\nIdentify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.\nCollaborate with carriers and freight partners to negotiate rates and optimize service delivery.\nMonitor carrier performance and address any service-related issues.\nAudit freight, duty, and miscellaneous charges related to shipments.\nProvide guidance and support to other team members on import processes and compliance standards.\nFoster a collaborative environment that encourages knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. \nMentor and train staff in import processes and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.\nIdentify opportunities for process optimization and bring awareness to the leadership team to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.\nLead or support troubleshooting efforts for urgent import-related issues or crises, ensuring quick resolutions and minimal disruption.\nActively engage with our Quality Management System to ensure compliance with industry-leading standards, such as AEO and ISO.\nRequired Skills and Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
