Lagos\n\nEmployment Type: Full-time\n\nKey Deliverables\n\nThe ideal candidate must have a strong background in project planning, scheduling, cost control, and progress measurement for projects related to power plants, gas pipelines, and petrochemical plants.\nThis is a contract position, renewable annually subject to satisfactory performance.\n\nKey Roles and Responsibilities\n\nPrepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and forecasts for the Project Manager and senior management\nSupport the Project Manager in maintaining the project risk register and carrying out schedule risk analysis\nMonitor schedule and cost performance, identify delays and critical path issues, and recommend recovery and mitigation plans\nEnsure compliance with company project control procedures and reporting requirements, and maintain the integrity of project data\nDevelop and maintain the project work breakdown structure (WBS), baseline schedule, and resource-loaded programmes using Primavera P6 or MS Project\nCoordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and HSE teams to obtain accurate progress inputs.\nDevelop, baseline, and control project budgets and cost reports, including cash-flow forecasts, cost-to-complete, and contingency tracking\nMeasure and report physical progress and earned value, and produce S-curves, histograms, and variance analyses\nAssess the time and cost impact of scope changes and variation orders, and maintain change control records\nReview and validate contractors' and vendors' schedules, progress reports, and valuations\n\nCompetencies (Skills, Experience, and Knowledge):\n\n5+ years of experience in planning and project controls for projects related to power plants, gas pipelines, and petrochemical plants.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nAdvanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project, and MS Excel.\nSound knowledge of critical path method, earned value management, and progress measurement techniques.\nPMI-SP, AACE (PSP/CCP), or an equivalent planning and cost control certification (preferred).\nBachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.\nWillingness to travel as needed\nKnowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards in the oil and gas industry\nProven track record of developing and maintaining schedules and cost controls for projects delivered on time and within budget.\nCOREN registration and membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. NSE) (preferred).\nStrong analytical skills and attention to
