The role involves building event-driven data pipelines, API integrations, and cloud-native services using AWS Lambda, modern ETL patterns, and strong engineering practices.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nAWS Cloud Engineering:\n\n- Design, develop, and operate serverless solutions using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, EventBridge, SNS, and SQS.\n\n- Implement secure cloud networking and access controls using VPCs, IAM roles, and AWS security best practices.\n\n- Monitor and optimize cloud solutions using CloudWatch metrics, logs, and alarms.\n\nData Pipelines & ETL:\n\n- Build and enhance serverless data pipelines using AWS Lambda and AWS Glue.\n\n- Design event-driven and API-based data ingestion architectures.\n\n- Perform data modeling and transformations for analytics and BI use cases.\n\nAPI Development & Integration:\n\n- Design and implement RESTful APIs using API Gateway and AWS Lambda.\n\n- Integrate internal and external systems through secure API and webhook-based patterns.\n\n- Define and maintain OpenAPI/Swagger specifications.\n\nDevOps & Infrastructure as Code:\n\n- Provision and manage infrastructure using Terraform or AWS CDK.\n\n- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or similar tools.\n\n- Automate deployments and enforce repeatable, reliable delivery processes.\n\nObservability & Dashboarding:\n\n- Develop Grafana dashboards for system, data pipeline, and business metrics.\n\n- Implement CloudWatch-based monitoring, alerting, and centralized logging.\n\n- Visualize and analyze time-series data to support operational and BI insights.\n\nSecurity & Governance:\n\n- Implement IAM modeling, secrets management, encryption, and audit logging.\n\n- Enforce cloud security, governance, and compliance best practices.\n\nCross-Functional Collaboration:\n\n- Produce clear technical documentation and architecture diagrams.\n\n- Collaborate with Application Software Engineering, IT, OT, and DevOps teams.\n\n- Participate in design discussions and technical decision-making.\n\nRequired Skills & Experience:\n\n- 46 years of overall experience in software engineering, cloud engineering, or data engineering.\n\n- Strong hands-on experience with AWS serverless services, including Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, S3, SNS, and SQS.\n\n- Experience building cloud-native data pipelines and ETL workflows.\n\n- Proficiency in Python and/or Node.js for backend and Lambda development.\n\n- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CDK.\n\n- CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or similar tools.\n\n- Strong understanding of API design, system integration patterns, and API security.\n\n- Experience using Grafana and CloudWatch for observability, monitoring, and dashboards.\n\n- Experience with time-series data platforms such as InfluxDB or similar technologies.\n\nKey Technologies:\n\n- AWS Lambda, API Gateway, S3, EventBridge, SNS/SQS, Glue, CloudWatch, VPC, and IAM\n\n- Python and/or Node.js\n\n- Terraform or AWS CDK\n\n- GitHub Actions or AWS CodePipeline\n\n- Grafana and InfluxDB or a similar time-series platform\n\n- REST APIs, webhooks, and OpenAPI/Swagger\nSkills\nAWS, Python, Cloud, ETL, Data Pipeline, AWS Lambda, Data Management, Data Architect, Terraform","description_format":"text","description_chars":3421,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":5,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":[],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-26T08:01:01Z"}],"liveness":{"score":7,"band":"cold","label":"Long shot","p_open":0.4,"p_active":0.528,"p_room":0.35,"age_days":56,"expected_fill_days":24,"reasons":["seen:56","velocity","win:tail"],"computed_at":"2026-10-01T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/okda-solutions-cloud-data-platform-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/okda-solutions-cloud-data-platform-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-01T09:53:59Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":741,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":4259,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-02T00:00:00Z"}}}
