The position requires an individual to read work orders and inspect work they perform. The individual will be responsible for working in a safe manner, producing product in an efficient manner, performing change overs, packing product and transferring the product to a new location. It is important that this position possess the willingness to accept change and be proactive rather than reactive.\nWhat will your day look like?\nRun automatic packaging equipment.\nVerify the proper components are being assembled.\nMaintain a clean work environment.\nDocument in process and end of line inspection.\nPerform change overs on equipment.\nReplace simple mechanical wear parts.\nKeep an accurate count on production.\nLabel finished goods with part number and quantity.\nPack goods directly on to pallets, in displays or holding trays.\nNotify supervisor of any safety issues.\nWillingness to work in other departments.\nThis position requires ability to work 8/10hr shifts and OT on Friday/Saturday as needed. Frequent and repetitive lifting is required.\nAbility to manage and communicate effectively.\nEnsure all safety guidelines are followed by you and each member of the team and that all safety violations are reported properly and immediately.\nMust take training and operate electric walkie as needed.\nMaintain a safety first mindset.\nQualifications\nWhat will you bring to the table?\nEducation:\nHigh School education or equivalent.\nLeadership experience preferred.\n1-day Train the trainer certified.\nSpecific Skills:\nMust possess excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.\nShould be goal oriented, confident, outgoing, and able to work well under pressure and succeed within a competitive environment.\nDemonstrate good judgment.\nMust be able to work independently and demonstrate effective initiative.\nBasic mechanical skills.\nBasic math skills.\nBasic computer skills preferred (i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word).\nPhysical Demands:\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stoop, reach, stand, walk, lift, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, see and use repetitive motions.
