Memorial Road, OKC OK 73120\nShift: 6:30AM - 3:00PM Monday, Wednesday, Thursday\nSign on Bonus: $2,500.00 (1 year committment )\nResponsibilities\nThe OHH Laboratory Assistant I is under general supervision of the Team Leader or Medical Technologist performs specimen accessioning, specimen preparation, clerical registration and phlebotomy duties associated with the laboratory. Interacts with patients, physicians, nurses and laboratory staff including Department Managers, Team Leaders and Administration.\nObserve specimens to determine appropriateness of volume, condition, proper collection and documentation for requested procedures with no more than one failure per month\nWithin one hour, verify and clarify with physician and/or nursing staff, conflicting or unclear orders\nProperly prepare specimens for testing according to written protocol\nDistribute specimens to appropriate areas for testing in a timely manner after processing so that results are not delayed\nDocument all paperwork with information outlind in the laboratory protocol\nScan orders into the EMR as needed\nQualifications\nEducation: High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.\nExperience: Three (3) years of clinical laboratory experience preferred. Experience in central processing and or phlebotomy preferred.\nWorking Knowledge: Knowledge of laboratory tests, test requirements and terminology is needed.\nEssential Technical/Motor Skills: Ability to manipulate various types of electronic and clinical equipment, calibrate and troubleshoot equipment and computer equipment in the Hospital. Ability to operate the specialty equipment in the department and to perform tasks at a “user” level.
