You will manage the month-end close process, review financial reporting, supervise accounting team members, and partner with property operations to ensure financial information is complete, accurate, and meaningful. You will support the Controller and Sr. Director of Finance in maintaining strong internal controls, improving accounting processes, and providing financial analysis to support business decisions.\n ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nSupervision:\nSupervise, train, and develop home office accounting team members, providing guidance and support to ensure departmental goals and deadlines are met.\nReview work prepared by accounting staff to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to accounting policies and procedures.\nFoster effective communication and collaboration between accounting team members and property personnel.\nFinancial Reporting:\nManage and coordinate the monthly close process for all Oki Golf properties.\nReview journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements for accuracy and completeness.\nPerform detailed variance analysis and investigate significant fluctuations in financial results.\nAssist with the preparation of management reports, financial analyses, budgets, and audit schedules.\nEnsure balance sheet accounts are reconciled and properly supported.\nControls and Compliance:\nMaintain and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. \nEnsure accounting transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP and company standards.\nMonitor key accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and cash controls. \nIdentify opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies, and financial reporting accuracy.\nBusiness Partnership:\nServe as a key accounting resource for General Managers and property bookkeepers.\nAssist operations leaders in understanding financial results and investigating variances.\nProvide recommendations for process improvements, cost controls, and operational efficiencies.\nParticipate in system implementations, accounting projects, and continuous improvement initiatives\nAssist the Controller and Sr. Director of Finance with special projects.\n QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required\nMinimum of 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including financial statement preparation and month-end close responsibilities.\nPrior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.\nExcellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills – attention to detail, accuracy, and deadlines.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT: \nThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
