The Facility Compliance Lead will drive the development of administrative and operational programs, ensure reporting readiness, and build systems that allow the organization to demonstrate compliance in a clear, efficient, and auditable manner.\nSpecific work areas will vary depending on experience, background, and program maturity.\nSpecific responsibilities may include:\nResponsibilities will differ depending on your background:\nDevelop and implement the compliance infrastructure needed to support DOE and NRC licensed facilities, including programmatic frameworks, procedures, and reporting systems\nStand up and mature administrative and operational programs (e.g., configuration management, corrective action, records management, reporting, and quality assurance interfaces)\nTranslate regulatory requirements, license conditions, and commitments into actionable facility-level programs and processes\nEstablish processes and tools to ensure compliance can be consistently demonstrated through documentation, metrics, and auditable records\nLead development of compliance reporting strategies, including routine, event-based, and regulatory-required reporting\nCoordinate across engineering, operations, and licensing teams to ensure design and operational activities align with regulatory and programmatic requirements\nDevelop and maintain compliance matrices, commitment tracking systems, and program health indicators\nSupport internal and external audits, inspections, and assessments, including preparation, response, and corrective action tracking\nInterface with regulators (DOE and NRC) on programmatic and compliance-related topics, including inspections and requests for information\nIdentify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement in compliance programs and drive resolution\nSupport development of scalable compliance approaches aligned with advanced reactor deployment strategies\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related technical field, or equivalent experience\nDemonstrated experience with DOE and/or NRC regulatory frameworks (e.g., 10 CFR 50, 52, 70, 830, DOE Orders)\nExperience developing, implementing, or overseeing administrative or operational programs in a nuclear or highly regulated environment\nExperience supporting or leading audits, inspections, or regulatory interactions\nStrong understanding of compliance documentation, records, and reporting expectations\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills\nBonus Qualifications:\nExperience standing up compliance or quality programs for new or first-of-a-kind facilities\nExperience with advanced reactor programs or fuel cycle facilities\nFamiliarity with DOE contractor assurance systems or NRC inspection frameworks\nExperience with digital compliance tools, configuration management systems, or requirements management platforms\nBackground in operations, licensing, or quality assurance within nuclear facilities\nCompetencies\nWe are looking for a Facility Compliance Lead that is:\nPassionate about enabling safe, compliant deployment of advanced nuclear technology\nSystems-oriented, with the ability to build structured, repeatable compliance frameworks from the ground up\nComfortable operating in ambiguity and defining processes in a fast-paced, first-of-a-kind environment\nHighly organized, with strong attention to detail and commitment to traceability and auditability\nAn excellent communicator who can translate regulatory requirements into practical operational expectations\nCollaborative and able to work effectively across engineering, operations, licensing, and quality organizations\nProactive in identifying compliance risks and driving resolution before issues arise\nComfortable balancing rigor with pragmatism to enable execution without unnecessary burden\nWho you are:\nA startup person: You aren't driven by titles or hierarchy, and prefer efficiency to excess process.
