We are searching for a Senior Project Manager, Isotopes to join our team. \nPosition Description\nOklo Isotopes is building scalable U.S. radioisotope production capabilities in facilities dedicated to producing essential isotopes for healthcare, space, industry, research, and defense applications. In February 2026, Oklo’s Idaho Radioisotopes Laboratory (IRL) located in Idaho Falls received its Material Possession License from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to take a leading role in the manufacturing and distribution of beneficial radioisotopes in the US.\nWe’re seeking a Senior Project Manager, Isotopes who will lead and coordinate high-impact, cross-functional projects supporting radioisotope production facility development, operational readiness, permitting, licensing, infrastructure deployment, and strategic initiatives. This individual will serve as both a hands-on project leader and a cross-functional integrator, driving execution across engineering, operations, radiological protection, regulatory, supply chain, and business teams.\nThe Senior Project Manager will collaborate closely with Oklo engineering, isotope production, regulatory, and other stakeholders to deliver critical projects that enable the deployment and expansion of mission-critical radioisotope production capabilities.\nThis person must be a hyper-performer that drives relentlessly to successful execution.\nSpecific responsibilities may include:\nLeading and managing strategic projects supporting radioisotope facility development, commissioning, and operational readiness.\nDeveloping and maintaining integrated project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and project performance metrics\nCoordinating cross-functional teams, contractors, suppliers, regulators, and stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.\nManaging project scope, risks, issues, and dependencies while proactively identifying and implementing mitigation strategies.\nDriving alignment across technical, operational, regulatory, and business functions to achieve project objectives and milestones.\nOverseeing contractor performance, procurement activities, material sourcing, and project deliverables.\nFacilitating project meetings, status reviews, and executive reporting to communicate progress, risks, and key decisions.\nSupporting permitting, licensing, facility modifications, equipment installations, and infrastructure upgrade projects.\nEstablishing and maintaining project controls, documentation, action tracking, and change management processes.\nContributing to technical strategy, execution planning, and continuous improvement initiatives that support organizational goals.\nEnsuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable quality, regulatory, and operational requirements.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Materials Science, Chemistry, Nuclear Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline.\nMinimum of 5 years of project management experience leading complex technical, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or operational projects.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with high levels of complexity, uncertainty, and cross-functional coordination.\nProven experience developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and project performance metrics.\nExperience leading cross-functional teams and coordinating activities across technical, operational, regulatory, and business functions.\nWorking knowledge of project management methodologies, project controls, risk management, and scheduling tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Smartsheet, or similar).\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with technical teams, contractors, suppliers, and executive leadership.\nStrong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in dynamic environments.\nBonus Qualifications:\nExperience in nuclear, radioisotope production, national laboratory, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, defense, energy, or other highly regulated industries.\nPMP certification strongly preferred.\nExperience supporting facility startup, commissioning, operational readiness, or infrastructure development projects.\nExperience working with NRC, DOE, national laboratories, or other government stakeholders.\nExperience managing contractor-driven projects, capital projects, facility upgrades, or equipment installation efforts.\nFamiliarity with quality assurance, configuration management, permitting, or regulatory compliance processes.\nExperience supporting radioactive material handling facilities, nuclear laboratories, hot cell operations, or radiological facilities.\nCompetencies\nWe are looking for a Senior Project Manager that is:\nPassionate about unleashing beneficial isotopes\nWilling and able to learn quickly\nYou’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves and deliver\nYou see how the pieces connect and can manage interfaces\nYou turn ambiguity into momentum\nEager to work on a dynamic team, receive constructive feedback, and grow with us\nWilling to think differently and do things in new ways\nComfortable in a fast-paced, highly iterative startup environment\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment\nAttention to detail and procedural compliance\nExcited to think creatively, critically, and reflectively about the problems they are solving, while not leaning only on what has been done before\nWilling to propose novel and creative solutions to technical problems\nAn excellent writer who can write in modern active voice, so make your cover letter compelling and write it well!\nSound judgment and decision-making in radiological and operational environments\nWho you are:\nA startup person: You aren't driven by titles or hierarchy, and prefer efficiency to excess process. You don't need or expect to have a lot of guidance but you enjoy working in a fast-paced team. If you prefer the culture and feel of a large organization, that is great, but you likely won’t enjoy working with us! There is plenty of important work and plenty of good opportunities with organizations like that.\nMotivated: You are self-motivated. You bring an enthusiasm to the team, and imbue a sense of passion that goes beyond clocking in and clocking out. This isn’t about a fake or arbitrary “pieces of flair” mentality or lack of work-life balance! It is about being a part of the vision and feeling a part of reaching team goals.\nA team-player: Oklo genuinely is a team. We aren’t about taking credit for ourselves, and we aren’t about pushing blame to others. We do incredible things because we work as a team.\nAn excellent communicator: We need a person who is not only technically competent but also a clear and upbeat communicator.\nCreative: Being creative means that when things fall outside clear scopes or processes or problems arise without clear solutions, you are able to identify it as well as invent ways to solve a problem or fill a need without micromanagement. The successful person in this job will not only be creative, but also enjoy being creative and solving open-ended problems which may change day-by-day.\nDetail-oriented: This focus is a big part of excellence, consistency, and quality. Excellent grammar and spelling matter for both good communication as well as the image of the company that we put forward.\nAbout Oklo travel requirements:\nOklo requires remote employees to travel to headquarters (Santa Clara, CA) twice a quarter annually, based on business or team needs, including attendance at team meetings, off-sites, and other company events or gatherings. For the first two weeks of onboarding, employees are required to be in person at headquarters in Santa Clara, CA.\nAbout Oklo compensation:\nSalary: $120,000-$195,000\nOklo offers flexible time off, equity, bonuses, competitive pay, 401(k), health insurance (with employer contribution), HSA, FSA, flexible work hours, wellness credits, and other benefits.\nThis position may involve access to information subject to U.S. export control laws. Only applicants who meet the definition of a U.S. person under applicable laws may be eligible.\nAbout Oklo Inc.: Oklo Inc. is developing fast fission power plants to deliver clean, reliable, and affordable energy at scale; establishing a domestic supply chain for critical radioisotopes; and advancing nuclear fuel recycling to convert nuclear waste into clean energy.
