This position requires strong hands-on experience with distributed systems, Java-based microservices, and high-volume transaction processing. You will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions while collaborating closely with product, infrastructure, security, and other engineering teams.\nKey Responsibilities\n1. Software Development\nDesign, architect, and develop backend software solutions for high-volume payment processing.\nCreate and maintain high-quality, optimized code with robust unit tests and appropriate test coverage.\nDevelop scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions using Java and Spring technologies.\nContribute to the evolution of the payment platform and its underlying architecture.\n2. Software Architecture & Distributed Systems\nLead the design and architecture of complex distributed systems that handle real-time financial transactions at scale.\nTake a lead role in the transition to a microservices-based architecture for payments.\nDesign and implement solutions based on Event-Driven Software Design Patterns.\nEnsure systems meet high standards of scalability, security, and reliability.\n3. Payments & Integrations\nLead the integration of payment gateways, banks, card networks, and alternative payment methods.\nWork with payment flows, settlement, reconciliation, and fraud detection mechanisms.\nContribute to the development of solutions supporting high-volume financial transactions.\n4. APIs & Security\nDesign and develop secure and scalable RESTful APIs.\nImplement and work with OAuth2 Security, JWT, and SSO mechanisms.\nEnsure the security and reliability of payment-related services and integrations.\n5. AWS & Cloud\nDesign and develop solutions using AWS cloud services.\nWork with AWS services including IAM, EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.\nCollaborate with DevOps teams to optimize cloud-based solutions.\n6. Databases & Transaction Management\nWork with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and NoSQL databases.\nImplement and optimize transaction management.\nPerform database tuning to support high-volume transaction processing.\nContribute to high-availability strategies for critical payment systems.\n7. DevOps & Production Systems\nCollaborate with DevOps teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines.\nContribute to monitoring strategies for production systems.\nSupport the scalability, performance, and reliability of production environments.\n8. Technical Leadership & Collaboration\nProvide technical leadership and mentor junior developers.\nGuide the team in best practices and efficient coding techniques.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver highly scalable and performant solutions.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying bottlenecks and optimizing the software development lifecycle.\n9. Technical Documentation\nProduce clear and concise technical requirements, design documents, and specifications.\nCommunicate complex technical concepts effectively with technical and business stakeholders.\nRequirements\nThe professional must be based in Peru.\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.\n7 years of experience in backend software development.\nDesirable: experience leading teams and architecting payment systems.\nProven working experience in the FinTech/Payments industry.\nJava & Spring\nDeep knowledge of Java 11+.\nStrong experience with Spring Boot.\nStrong experience with Spring Cloud (Netflix OSS).\nStrong experience with JPA ORM.\nSoftware Architecture\nStrong understanding of distributed systems.\nExtensive experience with Event-Driven Software Design Patterns.\nExpertise in microservices architecture.\nExperience architecting and designing complex systems.\nPayments\nStrong
