The Head of Financial Operations Platform will define and deliver the architecture that connects our trading, payment, banking, custody, blockchain, wallet and finance systems.\nThis is a senior, hands-on platform leadership role. The successful candidate will establish trusted books and records, automate settlement and reconciliation, create effective exception workflows and give Operations and Finance the tools required to maintain accurate client and corporate asset records on a daily and, where feasible, near-real-time basis.\nThe role owns platform capability and delivery. Client Asset Operations and Finance retain responsibility for executing, reviewing and signing off the underlying operational and accounting controls.\nWhat You Will Own\nProduct strategy and multi-year roadmap for the financial operations platform.\n\nThe canonical transaction and financial-event model across fiat and digital assets.\n\nClient and corporate asset subledgers, balances, positions, journals and transaction histories.\n\nSettlement and asset-movement workflows across banks, payment providers, custodians, wallets, blockchains and trading venues.\n\nMulti-way transaction- and balance-level reconciliation across operational sources, internal records and the finance system.\n\nException management, operational dashboards, control evidence, audit trails and management reporting.\n\nBuild-versus-buy assessments, strategic vendors, migration, backfilling, parallel runs and legacy-process retirement.\n\nFirst Year Outcomes\nDocument the end-to-end transaction, asset and accounting architecture.\n\nEstablish an approved platform roadmap and target operating model.\n\nDefine the canonical financial-event, subledger and reconciliation data model.\n\nDeliver systematic reconciliation for the highest-risk fiat and digital asset flows.\n\nIntroduce centralized exception ownership, ageing, escalation and evidence.\n\nReduce spreadsheet dependency and engineering-dependent investigations.\n\nImprove alignment between operational records, customer liabilities, external asset records and the finance system.\n\nDeliver a credible path from daily controls to near-real-time monitoring for material flows.\n\nWhat You’ll Be Doing\nProduct Strategy and Architecture\n- Establish the target vision, operating principles and roadmap for ledger, settlement, reconciliation and client asset controls.\n- Map end-to-end funds and asset flows across deposits, withdrawals, trades, fees, transfers, financing, staking and other relevant products.\n- Partner with Architecture and Engineering to define scalable services, APIs, event schemas, data contracts, system boundaries and resilience requirements.\n- Make evidence-based build-versus-buy decisions and prevent fragmented point solutions from becoming the operating model.\n\nLedger and Books and Records\n- Define requirements for double-entry ledgering, journals, balances, positions and transaction traceability.\n- Establish clear lineage from the originating operational event through the subledger and financial reporting environment.\n- Ensure the platform handles reversals, corrections, fees, foreign exchange, internal transfers, failed transactions, duplicated events and delayed events.\n- Work with Finance to maintain controlled alignment between operational books and records and the ERP or general ledger.\n\nSettlement and Reconciliation\n- Design workflows for fiat and digital asset settlement, including cut-offs, confirmations, status management, retries and failure handling.\n- Build automated multi-way reconciliation across trading engines, payment systems, banks, custodians, wallets, blockchain records, subledgers and ERP systems.\n- Define configurable matching rules, tolerances, materiality levels, frequencies and escalation thresholds.\n- Create near-real-time detection for missing, duplicated, delayed or incorrectly recorded transactions where feasible and proportionate.\n\nOperational Tooling and Controls- Build operator interfaces that support investigation and resolution without routine dependence on engineering queries or spreadsheets.\n- Incorporate maker-checker approvals, role-based access, segregation of duties, evidence retention and complete audit histories.\n- Define monitoring and alerting for data completeness, balance integrity, settlement failures, reconciliation breaks and control execution.\n- Support audit, regulatory examination and financial-reporting requirements with reproducible system evidence.\n\nDelivery and Stakeholder Leadership- Lead discovery, requirements definition, prioritization, testing, rollout and post-launch improvement.\n- Write clear product requirements, workflow diagrams, data definitions, control requirements and acceptance criteria.\n- Coordinate operational readiness across Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Treasury, Custody, Risk and Compliance.\n- Lead data migration, backfilling and parallel-run validation before replacing existing controls or processes.\n- Communicate roadmap priorities, risks, dependencies and measurable outcomes to senior management.\n\nWhat We Look For In You\nEight or more years in fintech, financial services, digital assets, brokerage, custody, payments or capital-markets technology.\n\nFive or more years of product-management, platform leadership, technical program leadership or comparable engineering experience.\n\nDemonstrated delivery of a ledger, reconciliation platform, settlement system, payments infrastructure, brokerage books-and-records platform or digital asset back office.\n\nStrong understanding of transaction lifecycles, balances, positions, journal entries, reconciliation and financial controls.\n\nTechnical fluency with APIs, event-driven systems, data schemas, batch and streaming pipelines, integrations, idempotency and failure handling.\n\nAbility to work directly with transaction-level data; practical SQL proficiency is strongly preferred.\n\nTrack record of delivering mission-critical systems in regulated or control-intensive environments.\n\nStrong written communication, structured problem-solving and senior stakeholder-management skills.\n\nNice to Haves\nExperience with both fiat and digital asset transaction flows.\n\nKnowledge of blockchain transactions, wallets, custodians and on-chain settlement.\n\nExperience integrating with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics.\n\nFamiliarity with client asset segregation, safeguarding, books and records or comparable regulatory requirements.\n\nExperience with high-volume, continuously operating financial platforms.\n\nKnowledge of double-entry accounting and financial-close processes.\n\nExperience replacing manual reconciliation with automated platform capabilities.\n\nExperience assessing or
