This position is expected to collaborate with all teams within the Technology Support Services department as well as personnel and leadership including both human resources, the business and Finance department and various other stakeholders. This position is part of the Information Systems department and reports to Assistant Director of Information Systems.\nPRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:\nAct as the district’s lead and technical expert for all business-critical systems and integrated applications.\nPlan for and test software updates, defects, and configuration changes.\nDevelop strategies, documentation, project, and test plans. Prioritize tasks and multi-task.\nAct as the team lead, providing technical mentorship, and guidance to the business information systems\nteam as required.\nDevelop and maintain current procedural and training documents on all components of the current system used to support the district business software.\nCollaborate with human resources, business & finance and other stakeholders to address any training needs of district staff.\nCoordination with Database Administrators to maintain configuration, plan for futuredevelopment and upgrades, offer information critical to tuning and maintaining database functionality.\nEnsure best practices and procedures followed for collecting and maintainingdata and documentation for all business systems.\nSupport and continue implementation of the district’s business Enterprise Resource Planning software - Currently Oracle Cloud Fusion.\nOversee the gathering, planning, and implementation of all workflows - Oracle Cloud Fusion.\nSupport team members in the creation of business reports for district divisions and stakeholders using Oracle Cloud and other district systems.\nCreate business continuation plans for the district’s critical business functions.\nDevelop testing strategies to reduce defects in development, test, and production.\nStrong understanding of school operations and business software functionality.\nPerform other duties, as assigned by the Assistant Director of Information Systems, for the purpose of ensuring efficient and effective functioning of district applications and software\nEducation and Experience Requirements:\n·3-5 Years’ experience working in the IT industry preferred\n·Bachelor’s Degree in computer related field or relevant education/experience\n·SQL and database experience, including developing and maintaining queries for reports and data integrations Required\n·Oracle Cloud Fusion and management experience preferred\n·Microsoft Azure Dataverse integration experience preferred\n·Proven experience in translating and refining business requirements into enterprise solutions\n·Must be able to work outside a normal 8-hour workday when required\n·Previous experience with any of the district’s business application software would be considered and asset\n·Previous management or leadership experience required\nRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:\n·Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills\n·Skills in problem-solving, attention to detail, prompt documentation, time management\n·Strong understanding of school operations and business functions\n·Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously\n·High degree of motivation, responsibility, and confidentiality\n·Demonstrated ability in compiling, organizing, and analyzing data\n·Ability to work in collaboration with many users of varying technology skills as well as work independently\nwhen necessary\n·Highly collaborative team player\n·Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, etc.)\n·Ability to self-initiate areas of opportunity, make recommendations for improvement, and follow up as\nnecessary to achieve desired results\nPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\nThis position requires the performance of light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. The position is in a normal office setting with exposure to computers, with interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule.\nThe work is sedentary, although a frequent amount of reaching, walking, and standing is necessary, an occasional amount of lifting,carrying,pushing and/orpulling, and some stooping, kneeling and/or crouching as well as a significant amount of fine finger dexterity is required in carrying out the essential duties of this position.
