the Board and Executive Management to protect the assets, reputation and sustainability of the Old Mutual Group.The role will be responsible for execution of IT audits across the Old Mutual business operations in Uganda, that include; Investments, Properties, Shor-Term and Long-Term Insurance.\nKey Responsibilities\nParticipates in audit plan development and continuous update ensuring assurance activities remain aligned to changes in the business environment risk landscape, and strategic objectives.\nLeads and executes IT audits across Old Mutual Uganda and provides audit support to other East Africa Group entities as assigned, ensuring the delivery of risk-based and value-adding assurance services.\nSupports the successful delivery of business and IT strategic initiatives by providing independent assurance over the most significant technology risks, including both existing and emerging risks, and evaluating the effectiveness of related governance, risk management, and control processes.\nDelivers IT audit and advisory assignments on time and in accordance with the Group Internal Audit (GIA) methodology.\nInteracts with and provides IT audit assurance to the respective Audit and Risk Committees.\nParticipates in preparation of Board papers to ensure key issues noted in various reviews are reported.\nUnderstands the risk profile of the businesses, gains and applies extensive industry knowledge in the various business lines.\nProvides independent opinion on risk and control environment for the various business units or processes.\nProvides IT expertise and support to financial and operational audit teams, enhancing audit effectiveness while applying an analytical and risk-based approach to audit assignments.\nEngages with process owners to plan and agree IT audit deliverables and ensures timely execution of audit activities.\nChallenges and influences the relevant executives to improve the IT governance, risk and control culture.\nProvides clients with an understanding of Group Internal Audit (GIA) expectations.\nContributes to developmental interventions and on the job coaching.\nQualifications and Experience:\nA bachelor’s degree with a focus in IT, data science or related discipline.\nProfessional qualifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, CEH, CIA and CPA, or any other relevant certification is an added advantage.\nMinimum of seven years IT audit experience within the internal audit function and / or external audit function.\nExperience in the financial services industry is an added advantage.\nProficient in use of data analytics tools, and knowledge of continuous auditing.\nSkills and Personal Attributes:\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills including effective report writing ability.\nProven technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nStrong relationship management and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to interact with Senior Management across various functions and departments within
