experienced Senior Manager: System Development to lead the organisation's software development, business analysis, application modernisation and technology delivery capabilities.The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, enhancement and strategic evolution of CGIC's technology landscape while leading multiple teams responsible for core business systems, technology roadmaps aligned to business objectives.\nLead the transition from legacy platforms to modern cloud-enabled and API-driven architectures.\nDrive architecture, integration and digital transformation initiatives.\nPartner with EXCO and business leadership on strategic technology decisions.\nEnsure technology investments support business growth, operational efficiency and risk management.\nSoftware Development Leadership\nLead multiple development teams responsible for:Underwriting systems\nClaims systems\nReinsurance systems\nAccounting systems\nBroker and client portals\nCollections and workflow solutions\nAPI and integration services\n\nEstablish engineering standards, SDLC governance and quality controls.\nManage application lifecycles from conception through deployment and support.\nImprove development productivity, release governance and delivery predictability.\nDrive agile delivery practices and continuous improvement.\nModernisation & Transformation\nLead strategic programmes focused on the modernisation of CGIC's legacy platforms.\nDrive API-first integration strategies.\nGuide migration and transformation initiatives involving resilience.\nProgramme & Portfolio Delivery\nOversee the delivery of multiple concurrent projects and programmes.\nEnsure effective project governance, risk management and executive reporting.\nManage resilience.\nMinimum Requirements\nDegree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.\nPostgraduate qualification advantageous.\nRelevant leadership and project delivery certifications beneficial.\nExperience\n12+ years experience within software development and delivery environments.\n7+ years in senior technology leadership roles.\nProven experience leading large technical teams.\nExperience managing complex application portfolios.\nExperience leading enterprise transformation and modernisation initiatives.\nExperience interacting with executive leadership and Governance frameworks, methodologies, and related standards.\nAt least two relevant industry certifications: ISO27001/27002, COBIT 5/2019, CISM, CRISC, CGEIT, CGRC etc.\nCloud Certifications an advantage: AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Security - Specialty or related.\nAgile training and knowledge of Agile Frameworks.\nStrong analytical & problem-solving skills and facilitation, negotiation, conflict resolution skills.\nExcellent written & oral communication and networking skills\nA motivated self-starter, capable of working on own initiative with a high level of
