We partner with architects, designers, contractors, and building owners to deliver innovative façade and glazing solutions that shape the built environment.\nWe are seeking an experienced, energetic, and relationship-driven Architectural Facade Design Manager to lead architectural specification efforts. Based in Washington, this highly visible role will focus on securing basis-of-design specifications, developing strong relationships within the architectural community, and driving project opportunities that support continued regional growth.\nPosition Summary\nThe Architectural Business Development Rep is responsible for promoting OBE and CRL products and solutions to architects, designers, developers, consultants, and general contractors throughout the region. The successful candidate will leverage industry expertise, established market relationships, and technical knowledge to secure project specifications, build a robust pipeline of opportunities, and support project wins from concept through completion.\nKey Responsibilities\nSecure OBE products as the basis of design on architectural projects throughout the region.\nTrack project opportunities, specifications, and activity within the OBE CRM system.\nCollaborate closely with Architectural Specialists, Marketing, Strategic Sales, and Distribution Sales teams to drive project specifications and wins.\nDevelop and maintain a strong pipeline of projects and industry relationships that lead to sales growth.\nManage multiple projects simultaneously throughout the design and development process.\nConduct strategic customer visits, presentations, and appointments with architects, designers, developers, consultants, owners, and general contractors.\nPromote OBE and CRL products, systems, and technical solutions to key decision-makers.\nBuild and strengthen relationships within the regional architectural and design community.\nMaintain expert-level product knowledge and provide technical recommendations to customers.\nWork collaboratively with cross-functional teams across the organization.\nParticipate in regional AIA, CSI, IIDA, and other industry association meetings and events.\nStay informed on market trends, competitive activity, and customer requirements, communicating insights to leadership.\nPursue ongoing professional and personal development opportunities.\nTravel throughout the assigned territory as needed (approximately 30%).\nQualifications\nRequired\nDemonstrated experience and understanding of the specification-driven bidding process within the design and construction industry.\nStrong experience and knowledge of the glass and glazing industry.\nEstablished relationships within the Washington architectural and design community.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in project management, architectural sales, business development, or related roles focused on the design community.\nProven track record of success in positions with significant accountability and business impact.\nStrong presentation and communication skills with the confidence to engage large groups of architects, designers, and project teams.\nExcellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide solution-based recommendations for complex project requirements.\nExceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.\nAbility to read architectural drawings, interpret specifications, and understand construction documentation.\nComfortable working across a broad architectural product portfolio.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.\nBachelor's degree required.\nPreferred\nLEED Accreditation.\nBIM project management experience.\nSAP experience.\nSelf-motivated, collaborative team player with a positive attitude and growth mindset.\nWhy Join OBE?\nAt Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope, you'll have the opportunity to work with industry-leading products, collaborate with talented professionals, and make a direct impact on some of the most notable architectural projects in the region.
