You can see some of our favorite projects here.\nStart your journey with OBE and help us build the future.\nWhat You’ll Get to Do\nThe Controls Engineer is focused on improving existing and commissioning new metal processing equipment and processes and reports to the Director of Engineering. This role serves as a key resource for plant-level automation and controls, with a focus on PLC programming, troubleshooting, and modernization of automation systems.\nThe ideal candidate will bring expertise in controls engineering, process optimization, equipment reliability, and manufacturing automation.\nJob Responsibilities Include:\nMaintain product quality, drive process efficiency, and support high-volume manufacturing operations.\nProgram, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize Allen-Bradley PLC-based control systems and associated automation equipment.\nAssist with commissioning new equipment, integrating automation devices, and performing equipment upgrades or retrofits.\nInvestigate and resolve controls-related issues impacting safety, downtime, throughput, quality, machine alarming, and equipment reliability.\nLeverage production and process data to identify improvement opportunities and develop automated reporting through Ignition.\nSupport process optimization, legacy controls modernization, and capital projects aimed at improving plant performance.\nWhat We Are Looking For\n3-5+ years of Controls Engineering or industrial automation experience in a manufacturing environment.\nBachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field;
