You can see some of our favorite projects here.\nStart your journey with OBE and help us build the future.\nCredit & Collections Specialist\nPosition Summary\nWe are seeking a detail-oriented Credit and Collections professional with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our team. This role will manage an assigned portfolio of accounts, resolve payment issues, and provide actionable insights through regular aging reviews.\nThe ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and an effective communicator with strong Excel skills. Experience with SAP and the construction industry is a plus.\nKey Responsibilities\nMonitor aging receivables and conduct collection calls to secure outstanding payments\nManage assigned accounts and ensure timely resolution of payment issues\nPerform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies\nPartner with Sales to resolve disputes and customer issues\nCommunicate directly with customers to resolve outstanding balances\nPrepare collection letters, notices of intent to lien, and lien documentation as needed\nTrack lien and bond claim deadlines and escalate risks as necessary\nMonitor customer creditworthiness and update customer records\nRespond to customer inquiries related to credit and billing\nManage and resolve email requests (waivers, billing issues, short pays, references, etc.)\nMaintain key performance metrics (DSO and % Current) within assigned portfolio\nEscalate high-risk accounts to Credit Leadership\nSupport Responsibilities\nProvide coverage for team members during absences\nAssist the Collections Manager with additional tasks as needed\nQualifications\n3 to 5 years of Credit and Collections experience\nIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel\nExperience with credit reporting tools such as Experian and Dun & Bradstreet\nKnowledge of lien laws is a plus\nExperience with SAP is a plus\nStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills\nExcellent communication and time management abilities\nHigh attention to detail and accuracy\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple priorities\nComfortable collaborating with internal teams and external customers\nPositive, professional attitude with a customer-focused mindset\nFamiliarity with the construction industry is a plus\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred\nKey Attributes\nStrong attention to detail\nAbility to negotiate and resolve issues\nEffective multitasking and prioritization skills\nTeam-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills\nAbility to analyze and resolve complex problems\nCompensation\nHourly pay range: $22.00 -
