You can see some of our favorite projects here.\nStart your journey with OBE and help us build the future.\nWhat You’ll Get to Do\n\nThe Loader / Unloader is focused on moving, loading, and unloading glass and metal products throughout the plant to expedite the production process. As a vital member of the 2nd Shift Shipping Department, you will rotate through various phases of the shipping process to keep production moving safely and efficiently. This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor and is ideal for a reliable team player looking to build a career with an industry leader.\nJob Responsibilities\nMove glass and metal products safely from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates.\nOperate specialized equipment, including driving a forklift and working around an overhead vacuum-assisted 3-ton crane.\nTransport and rotate materials manually or with equipment through various phases of the laminating process.\nRead work orders and follow strict job standards for safety, quality, and production efficiency.\nInspect product quality for visual flaws and ensure materials meet product specifications.\nUse a tape measure to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements accurately.\nAttach appropriate labels and tags to products, packages, and required paperwork.\nMaintain a clean work area and immediately notify the supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.\nHere’s What We’re Looking For\nAge: Must be at least 18 years of age.\nExperience: Prior work experience inside a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.\nEquipment & Tech: Ability to drive a forklift and work around overhead cranes; basic computer knowledge is preferred.\nSkills: Ability to read, understand, communicate, and perform general mathematical equations.\nDependability: Regular attendance, punctuality, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.\nFlexibility: Ability to prioritize work under deadlines and work overtime when required.\nPhysical Requirements\n Stand and walk for the entire shift on a concrete floor (up to 10 hours).\nLift, push, pull, or move up to 75 lbs. individually and 150 lbs. with a partner.\nConstant physical movement: Reaching, handling, grasping, twisting, bending, and kneeling.\nVisual acuity to safely inspect glass products for quality flaws.\n PPE: Proper wear of all company-issued safety gear (safety shirt, hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety glasses, and hearing protection).\n Environment: Ability to work in moderate to high noise levels and temperatures consistent with regional outdoor climate conditions (heat, humidity, cold).\nWhat OBE Offers You\nBenefits that benefit you -
