With 6,500+ employees and 80+ facilities across five countries, your work at OBE truly matters.\nStart your journey with OBE and help us build the future.\nThe Role\nThe Customer Service Representative - Metal Division (Fremont) plays a critical role in supporting the metal estimating and production teams by processing orders, coordinating hardware sourcing, and managing customer communication. This position ensures awarded quotes are accurately converted into production-ready orders and helps reduce backlog within the Fremont metal department.\nYou will serve as a key communication link between customers, metal estimators, production, purchasing, transportation, and internal support teams.\nResponsibilities\nProcess metal orders from estimating into AS400, ensuring accuracy in hardware, materials, and specifications.\nManage inbound and outbound customer communication via phone, email, and chat.\nCoordinate with metal estimators, production, and purchasing to confirm lead times, vendor sourcing, and material availability.\nSupport purchasing with vendor management, min/max capacities, and hardware sourcing across multiple suppliers.\nMonitor orders from entry through fulfillment and delivery.\nProvide customers with order updates, delivery inquiries, and service support.\nMaintain accurate records within AS400 and PrefWeb systems.\nEscalate complex issues to supervisors or estimating leadership.\nProvide coverage across staggered shifts to ensure phones are answered during operational hours.\nWork Schedule (Fremont-Specific)\nWe are looking to hire two Customer Service Representatives with staggered schedules:\nShift Option 1: 6:00/6:30 AM - 2:30/3:00 PM\nShift Option 2: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM\nCandidates must be available for the full coverage window of 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
