Each new customer makes the network more valuable to the next, and your work will directly shape that flywheel.\nYou'll work across our React frontend and backend services, owning features from idea through production. That means understanding the user problem, designing the solution, building it, and iterating based on feedback.\nWe're also big proponents of using AI to do our best work. If you have an idea for a new tool or workflow, we'll move quickly to get it on the roadmap. Using AI well across the development lifecycle is something we're continuing to get better at, and we value everyone's contribution to that effort.\nWhat You’ll Do\nBuild the Network Layer\nDesign and ship the tooling that turns OWL from a data platform into a network: the search, connection, and collaboration surfaces that let allocators and managers find and engage with each other.\nOwn and Deliver Product Features\nTake problems from ambiguous requirements through design, implementation, and production across the stack.\nMove Quickly in a Changing Environment\nWork on evolving systems with shifting priorities while maintaining a high bar for quality\nWork with Data and Systems that Scale\nBuild features on top of large, structured datasets while improving performance and reliability as the product grows\nWhat We’re Looking For\n5+ years of experience building production software\n\nStrong backend experience in Python (and/or Node.js)\n\nStrong frontend experience in React + TypeScript\n\nExperience building APIs (REST and/or GraphQL)\n\nSolid understanding of relational databases (Postgres) and data modeling\n\nExperience working in fast-moving or early-stage environments with evolving systems and priorities\n\nAbility to take ownership and deliver without heavy direction\n\nTech Stack\nLanguages: Python, Node.js, TypeScript\n\nFrontend: React\n\nBackend: FastAPI, GraphQL APIs\n\nDatabase: Postgres\n\nInfrastructure: AWS\n\nDevOps & Tooling: Terraform, GitHub, Datadog\n\nAI: OpenAI, Claude, LangSmith\n\nLocation\nCharlotte (Hybrid: Tuesday-Thursday in office)\nCompensation\nCompetitive salary + equity\n\nWork Authorization\nAt this time, OWL is not able to sponsor employment visas.
