It emphasizes not only analytical rigor, but also practical discernment-knowing when to seek additional data and when to act decisively.\nFor example: When selecting a supplier for a critical precision component, one supplier offers the lowest price but has limited capacity and inconsistent delivery history, while another is slightly more expensive but demonstrates strong quality controls and resilient supply chains. Select the second supplier after evaluating total cost of ownership, production risk, and project timelines, thereby reducing the risk of line stoppages and rework despite a marginally higher unit cost.\nCommercial and Financial Acumen\nDemonstrate the ability to understand cost drivers, financial implications, and commercial terms to make procurement decisions that maximize overall business value. Applying a strong financial lens helps reduce costs, mitigate risks, and improve long-term profitability through well-informed procurement decisions.\nFor example: When faced with a supplier offering a competitive unit price but restrictive payment terms and high after-sales service costs, a lifecycle cost analysis was conducted covering payment schedules, warranty coverage, and contract risk. A bundled agreement was negotiated to achieve better long-term value and reduced financial exposure.\nCollaborate\nStrong stakeholder collaboration helps build credibility and meaningful relationships. It bridges multidisciplinary teams (e.g., Engineering, Quality, and Operations) as well as the external supply chain. Effective collaboration can lead to the adoption of cost-effective or alternative technical solutions.\nFor example: A prototype part to keep a development milestone on track is urgently required. Internal alignment with Operations to reshuffle receiving and inspection priorities help to ensure capacity to process the incoming item as soon as it arrives. This was followed by expediting the production with the supplier through slot-sharing. The part arrived expedited yet at cost-neutral timeline, allowing protype testing to proceed without delay.\nAccountability\nAccountability means taking responsibility for delivering on commitments and maintaining high standards of performance. It involves setting clear expectations, tracking progress, and proactively addressing risks or obstacles before they escalate. Demonstrating accountability signals reliability and ownership-showing that you stand by your decisions, actions, and outcomes.\nFor example: A set of precision components required for a build was ordered, only for the team to discover an error in the quantity-significant enough to affect both cost and schedule. The manager was informed, PO quantity was corrected, Finance notified of the cost adjustment, and worked with the supplier to minimize disruption. Engineering was kept updated on the impact to the timeline. Workflow was revised to add a simple double-check step to prevent future errors. This demonstrates accountability through transparency, corrective action, and learning from the mistake.","description_format":"text","description_chars":10287,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":2,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":{"level":"phd","optional":false},"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Military Logistics","Supply Chain"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-22T10:38:17Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":57,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.759,"p_room":0.75,"age_days":15,"expected_fill_days":21,"reasons":["conf:14","win:late","comp:junior"],"computed_at":"2026-10-30T05:48:23Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/oled-material-manufacturing-ltd-strategic-supply-chain-procurement-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/oled-material-manufacturing-ltd-strategic-supply-chain-procurement-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-31T00:28:14Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":736,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-11-01T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":2894183},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=2894183"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Foled-material-manufacturing-ltd-strategic-supply-chain-procurement-engineer"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Foled-material-manufacturing-ltd-strategic-supply-chain-procurement-engineer"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Foled-material-manufacturing-ltd-strategic-supply-chain-procurement-engineer"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/oled-material-manufacturing-ltd-strategic-supply-chain-procurement-engineer\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Foled-material-manufacturing-ltd-strategic-supply-chain-procurement-engineer"}],"agent":{"mcp":"https://alion.io/mcp/jobs","mcp_open":"https://alion.io/mcp/open","next":[{"tool":"get_job","arguments":{"id":3075157}},{"tool":"search_jobs","arguments":{"company":"oled.com","detail":"compact"}},{"tool":"match_people","arguments":{"job_id":3075157},"note":"people open to offers who fit this vacancy"}],"note":"The same data through MCP tools: https://alion.io/mcp/open needs no sign-in (compact searches, postings, people); https://alion.io/mcp with an Alion account has everything.
