The Supply Systems Analyst will provide technical and functional expertise in the use of automated Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), with a primary focus on analyzing supply system transactions, identifying and resolving operational issues, and ensuring accurate and efficient movement and accountability of material throughout the distribution process.\nThe ideal candidate will have significant hands-on experience using DLA’s Warehouse Management System (WMS) and a strong understanding of supply, warehousing, inventory, and distribution operations. This position will work closely with Government supply systems analysts, storage specialists, and contractor leadership to identify problems, develop solutions, and improve operational performance.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nMinimum of three (3) years of experience using DLA’s Warehouse Management System (WMS), or an equivalent automated Warehouse Management System, within the past five (5) years.\nDemonstrated experience analyzing WMS transactions and supply system data to identify discrepancies, errors, trends, and operational problem areas.\nBroad knowledge of supply and distribution operations, including receipt, storage, warehousing, inventory, issue, packing, and transportation functions.\nThorough knowledge of supply policies, procedures, and automated supply systems.\nAbility to research complex functional and operational problems and develop practical solutions.\nAbility to work effectively with Government and contractor personnel at multiple organizational levels.\nStrong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of an integrated Government/contractor team.\nAbility to obtain and maintain any required installation access and/or security credentials.\nKey Responsibilities\nAnalyze WMS transactions, supply system data, and operational processes to identify and resolve problem areas.\nResearch functional and system-related issues and determine the underlying cause of discrepancies or process failures.\nCoordinate with functional users to resolve operational, procedural, and system-related problems\nEvaluate existing supply system functions and processes and assess the feasibility and potential impact of consolidating, eliminating, expanding, or modifying interrelated functions.\nAnalyze proposed changes to WMS functionality, supply policies, procedures, and regulations and determine their potential operational impact.\nProvide recommendations to improve system functionality, operational efficiency, data accuracy, inventory accountability, and overall supply performance.\nConduct studies, reviews, and investigations involving a broad range of interconnected supply program functions.\nApply knowledge of supply policies and procedures to effectively manage and control material throughout the receipt, storage, warehousing, issue, packing, and transportation processes.\nIdentify trends and recurring issues within WMS transactions and recommend corrective actions.\nCollaborate closely with the Government Supply Systems Analyst and Storage Specialist to resolve issues and improve operational processes.\nAssist operational personnel in understanding and correctly applying WMS processes and procedures.\nSupport inventory management, transaction accuracy, material accountability, and other supply system requirements.\nProvide functional expertise and recommendations to contractor and Government leadership.\nMaintain accurate documentation of identified issues, research performed, corrective actions, and recommended process improvements.\nSupport other supply systems and warehouse management activities as directed by program leadership.\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevious experience supporting DLA Distribution or another DLA activity.\nExperience working directly with DLA WMS in a warehouse/distribution environment.\nExperience with inventory management, physical inventory, rewarehousing, disposition processing, receipts, issues, and material accountability.\nExperience troubleshooting WMS transactions and resolving discrepancies between system records and physical inventory.\nExperience training or mentoring warehouse personnel on WMS processes and procedures.\nKnowledge of DLA supply policies, procedures, and distribution operations.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nThe successful candidate will be more than someone who simply knows how to execute WMS transactions.
