Directs employees engaged in conducting DSS inventories, researching inventory discrepancies and documenting gains and losses through causative research, performing denial research, item data maintenance and location surveys. Inventory Manager is responsible for records and maintains control of all inventory items purchased and produces.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nResponsible for ensuring the inventory integrity of the Government-owned mission stock meets the acceptable performance levels outlined in the contract.\nPlans the use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials based on workload projections on a weekly or monthly bases.\nEstablishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences in agreement with general work schedules, methods, and policies established by the Site Manager and/or Alternate Site Manager.\nRedirects workers and resources to accomplish unanticipated work and to accommodate daily workload fluctuations.\nConducts planning of current and future work schedules.\nProvides workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs.\nRecommends the scheduling of project work.\nEnsures work is done properly and efficiently in agreement with the terms and condition of the contract.\nEnsures compliance with established internal control procedures.\nResponsible for data and inventory control.\nOther duties as assigned.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nThe Inventory Manager manages a team of Inventory Technicians and Specialists.\nEnsures area of responsibility is operating in agreement with all referenced DLA Distribution SOPs, addendums, FRAGOS, and Process Manuals as required for day to day operational processing and preparation for any audit event.\nResponsible for compliance with the Audit Assertion Program reporting and documentation requirements, Assertion Memo IAW CDRL A034, to include monthly assertion reporting that assigned areas of responsibility are ready for audit and or corrective action plans are documented and being corrected if an assertion cannot be made.\nResponsible for the Audit Assertion Program functional areas of COSIS and Physical Inventory Processes.\nEducation and/or Experience:\nGED or equivalent, college degree a plus.\nThree (3) years’ minimum experience in inventory using DSS or equivalent automated Warehouse Management System (WMS) within the past five (5) years.\nMust demonstrate a good attitude and ability to lead a team in a warehouse setting.\nPosition requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision.\nMust be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong attention for detail.\nExperience with DSS and other Government-Furnished Data Systems.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nAbility to use and instruct others in the use of DSS and other Government-Furnished Data Systems to perform the requirements in the PWS.\nPosition requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively and lead a team under a minimum of supervision from Program Manager.\nMust be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong attention for detail and the ability to lead others to do so.\nKnowledge and ability to teach and lead safety procedures.\nCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:\nN/A\nSecurity Clearance:\nCONFIDENTIAL L evel Required, candidate must:\nHave a current US Government CONFIDENTIAL or higher Personnel Security Clearance or be able to successfully complete a U.S. government administered Investigation. \nBe a U.S. Citizen. \nBe able to maintain a US Government SECRET clearance.\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
