Works to achieve mutual acceptability to obtain a contract.\nDemonstrates flexibility in use of various estimating templates as needed by the client like MS Excel spreadsheets and other estimating software.\nProduces subcontractor bid packages, selects subcontractors and suppliers based best value, issues contract and administers and oversees subcontractor activities. Coordinates with field personnel to ensure expectations are met.\nReviews subcontractor material, approved submittals and shop drawings and checks construction for compliance.\nProduces in-house production reports, critical path schedules, schedules of value, progress reports, etc. as required to effectively manage several projects at once.\nCoordinates with clients to ensure successful completion of projects and client satisfaction.\nExercises good judgment in utilizing the necessary authority to properly manage and execute construction contracts.\nCoordinates field work with other project managers and superintendents.\nAssured red line (as-builts) drawings are kept up to date in the field.\nParticipate in the company safety program.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nThis position is responsible for supervision of assigned employees and subcontractors.\nEducation and/or Experience:\nTen years of experience in engineering, construction, or similar field with emphasis in project management and estimating for small to medium sized maintenance, repair and construction projects of various kinds.\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management is preferred but extensive experience in lieu of degree will be considered.\nMust have experience working with estimating, cost control and scheduling.\nExperience and training must include understanding of construction methods, techniques, equipment and hands-on experience in a supervisory position.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nApplicants must possess excellent communication skills and be adept in managing multiple construction contracts from concept to completion. Must have interpersonal skills sufficient to positively interact with colleagues, client and subcontractors to achieve mutual goals.\nBasic knowledge of administration and management. Must be able to plan, allocate resources, manage production and coordinate people and equipment. Strong coordination, time management, active listening, oral and written expression and comprehension, critical thinking and reasoning skills are required.\nMust have the ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong-to recognize problems when they occur and to work toward the solution of those problems.\nMust be able to exercise good judgment when carrying out duties and to maintain good working relationships with the public and fellow employees.\nMust be able to read, understand and apply information obtained from blueprints, surveys and job specifications.\nMust be proficient with Microsoft Suite products including, Word, Excel, Access and E-mail business software.\nMust demonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a Team.\nPosition requires self-motivation and the ability to work effectively under a minimum of supervision.\nMust be able to multi-task efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects, and have a strong attention for detail.\nCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:\nNone Required.\nSecurity Clearance:\nN/A\nBenefits\nThis position is eligible for Olgoonik's comprehensive employee benefits package, which includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, and retirement benefits, subject to applicable plan eligibility requirements.\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
