Ensures items being stowed meet requirements of MIL-STD 129N. Must be proficient and able to instruct the correct use of anti-static devices. Maintains standards and approved procedures for COSIS/Shelf-Life inspection as required in depot contract agreement. Ensures kitting function procedures are followed and provide cost estimates for preparation of kits. Provides daily work assignments to other storage personnel assigned to work center.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nAssists the Site Manager in scheduling work, responsible for instructing and aiding a group of employees.\nPerforms evaluations and assists the Site Manager in maintaining a smooth flow of work and maintain records.\nMay be temporarily called upon to act on behalf of a Site Manager in cases of emergency or absence.\nIdentifies, examines, classifies, accepts, rejects, and disposes of material per DLA regulations. Examinations may be visual or require measuring devices and techniques.\nConducts inventory/causative research, reads supply manuals, specifications, drawings, and prints.\nMaintains knowledge of procedures for leading material on and off skids, pallets, and stands.\nConducts Shelf-Life and COSIS actions as necessary and conducts material coordination duties for special programs as required.\nEnsures labels are issued as required.\nPrepares reports as required.\nMaintains knowledge of correct and safe operation of tools and equipment as they are used in performance of duties.\nReceives data from and inputs data to DSS and other automated supply systems in performance of duties.\nResponsible for personnel correct and safe operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and hold appropriate licenses.\nMaintains knowledge of how to count, weigh, record data, apply tags and labels.\nEnsures that preventive maintenance adjustments to related equipment are performed.\nEnsures that all correct methods and processes for working with and around Hazardous Material are followed according to standards.\nSupervisory Responsibilities:\nAssists the Site Manager in scheduling work, responsible for instructing and aiding a group of employees.\nPerforms evaluations and assists the supervisor in maintaining a smooth flow of work and maintain records.\nEnsures area of responsibility is operating in agreement with all referenced DLA Distribution SOPs, addendums, FRAGOS, and Process Manuals as required for day to day operational processing and preparation for any audit event.\nResponsible for compliance with the Audit Assertion Program reporting and documentation requirements, Assertion Memo IAW CDRL A034, to include monthly assertion reporting that assigned areas of responsibility are ready for audit and or corrective action plans are documented and being corrected if an assertion cannot be made.\nResponsible for the Audit Assertion Program functional areas of Offload/Tally, Receipt Induction, Stow/Warehousing, Re-warehousing and Stock Selection, i.e. Pick/Pack/Prep for Shipment.\nEducation and/or Experience:\nHigh School Diploma or GED required.\n2 years of college or technical school preferred (may substitute experience for education on a year-by-year basis).\nMinimum 5 years general experience.\nMinimum 3 years specific experience in material handling, supply, distribution, inspection, quality assurance, or related areas.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nKnowledge of supply inspection/examination procedures for material.\nKnowledge of inventory research techniques for unmarked/defective material requiring identification.\nProficient in the use of Warehouse Management System (WMS) and other automated distribution systems used at site. Familiar with MIL-STD 129.\nProficient with Microsoft Suite including, Word, Excel, Access and E-mail business software.\nDemonstrate a good attitude and ability to work as a member of a team.\nAbility to work effectively under a minimum of supervision.\nAbility to multi-task efficiently, works in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects, and has a strong attention for detail.\nCertificates, Licenses, Registrations:\nNone Required\nSecurity Clearance:\nSECRET Level Required, candidate must:\nHave a current US Government SECRET Personnel Security Clearance or be able to successfully complete a U.S. government administered Investigation.\nBe a U.S. Citizen.\nBe able to maintain a US Government SECRET clearance.\nPhysical Demands:\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
