We are constantly evolving through challenging work tasks and are given great freedom in how we want to solve them.\nOur Customer Success department is responsible for ensuring that our customers achieve their desired outcomes with Oliasoft products. We work tightly with the Marketing, Sales and Product teams to provide insights from our customers to the rest of the organisation. We are now looking for a Solutions Engineer for our Oslo team. The Solutions Engineer combines well engineering domain expertise with strong technical aptitude to support customers across the full lifecycle of the Oliasoft WellDesign platform. We provide comprehensive training in the platform, enabling you to manage everything from technical evaluation during the sales process through onboarding, training, and ongoing technical support that drives adoption, retention and expansion. The position reports to the Head of Customer Success in Oslo and involves approximately 20-30% travel to customer sites, workshops and industry conferences.\nAs a Solutions Engineer at Oliasoft you will:\nPresent live WellDesign demonstrations - from consultative sessions with individual engineers to VP-level technical evaluations - translating platform capabilities into concrete engineering value\nPartner with Sales to run technical discovery calls, proof-of-concept and pilot engagements with prospective customers\nRepresent Oliasoft at industry conferences and technical workshops, presenting to broader technical audiences\nTranslate customer well engineering requirements and workflows into effective WellDesign configurations and technical solutions\nRespond to technical sections of RFPs and RFIs, and lead technical workshops with prospect engineering teams\nContribute to onboarding and training for new customers, ensuring continuity from evaluation through to daily use\nDeliver technical support to customers using our established support systems\nSupport renewal conversations with technical evidence of the value delivered\nContribute to best-practice guides, training and sales enablement material\nTo succeed in this role you should have:\nConfidence in holding presentations, demonstrations and customer workshops, for both technical and commercial audiences\nSolid grounding in well engineering fundamentals: casing design, drilling mechanics, trajectory design\nRelevant work experience from Oil & Gas, for example Drilling Engineering, Well Planning, Completion Engineering or oilfield technical software (design, application engineering or field engineering)\nBachelors or Masters degree in a relevant engineering discipline (petroleum, drilling, mechanical or chemical), or equivalent practical experience\nExcellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, and the ability to communicate with engineers and commercial stakeholders alike\nThe ability to keep calm when working under pressure and deliver on promise\nThe ability to communicate fluently in English, both written and verbal\nWillingness to travel regionally and internationally\nA valid work permit for Norway\nPrevious experience in pre-sales or technical support, fluency in additional European languages, and knowledge of Oliasoft WellDesign and Forecast are advantages, but not requirements, for the position.\nWhat we offer:\nThe opportunity to participate in one of the most interesting Norwegian software companies creating revolutionary software for the oil industry\nHighly proactive and creative colleagues that are passionate about technology, programming and engineering, wanting to build the best product possible\nOpportunity to make a difference -
