Working closely with engineering and security stakeholders, you'll improve existing tooling, introduce automated checks and ensure results are documented and traceable.\nThis is a hands-on engineering role suited to someone with experience in DevOps, infrastructure automation and GitHub security configuration.\nWhat you'll be doing\nAutomating code security and repository compliance checks.\n\nImproving shared GitHub tooling and Terraform-based configuration.\n\nIntegrating automated controls into CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows.\n\nReviewing existing repositories, identifying gaps and implementing improvements.\n\nProducing clear evidence of compliance checks, exceptions and areas requiring manual review.\n\nWriting maintainable, tested code and technical documentation.\n\nCollaborating with engineering and security teams to prioritise improvements and share knowledge.\n\nAbout you\nActive SC security clearance is essential.\n\nStrong experience configuring and managing GitHub repository controls and settings.\n\nHands-on experience with Terraform and infrastructure or configuration automation.\n\nExperience developing automation to assess technical controls, configurations or compliance requirements.\n\nGood understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.\n\nExperience maintaining existing codebases, troubleshooting issues and improving engineering tooling.\n\nAbility to write production-quality code, maintain documentation and collaborate with technical stakeholders.\n\nDesirable experience\nCode security frameworks and security assurance processes.\n\nPolicy-as-code or compliance automation.\n\nPublic sector or government digital project experience.\n\nWorking alongside cyber security, data protection or assurance teams.\n\nAbout Olive Jar Digital\nOlive Jar Digital is a digital consultancy delivering technology, digital and transformation services across the public and private sectors.
