Responsibilities include the accurate, efficient, and timely execution of freight flow to the sales floor in accordance with established processing and visual merchandising standards. Maintain back stock in the receiving area and manage the disposition of damaged goods to minimize profit loss.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nPlan, unload, check in, and support the merchandising of distribution shipments of merchandise.\nReceive, verify, and merchandise all direct vendor shipments.\nManage effective freight flow in the receiving area while maintaining equipment and a safe, orderly dock and exterior.\n\nAdhere to company standards confirm the accuracy of all incoming merchandise and set up and design merchandise displays.\nPrepare and process outbound transfers of merchandise and fixtures as required.\nDirect the work of other Associates who are assisting with freight flow processes.\nAct as Manager on Duty and complete any additional responsibilities as assigned including opening and closing of the store.\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required.\nMinimum of 6 months experience with a mid- to large-size retailer.\nSchedule flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.\nAbility to organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks while working within strict timeframes and deadlines.\nMust have a positive attitude and the ability to interact well with customers and associates.\nPhysical Requirements:\nAbility to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.\nAbility to push and pull up to 35 pounds.\nAbility to stand for extended periods and work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. \nThis pay represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. Pay ranges may be different in other locations. Actual associate pay will be based on work location, position, experience, skill level, qualifications, and other relevant factors.
