This role is fully remote, offering you flexibility to work from anywhere within NI.\nYour new role\nIn this role, you’ll join as a Software Engineer on the ‘BrandX’ team, which is part of the wider ‘Order Engineering’ group.\nBrandX (Brand Experience) builds the tools restaurant brands and Olo's internal teams use to run their business on Olo. We own the Dashboard that brand operators log into every day, the internal Admin application, and the billing and invoicing systems that turn platform usage into invoices. We also own how brands sign in and manage their users, including SSO and two-factor authentication, and we are building Olo AI Assist, a natural-language assistant inside the Dashboard.\nThe team is seven engineers spread across the US and Europe, and you'd be our first hire in Northern Ireland. Because the team sits between brands, Finance, and the rest of Order Engineering, the work is varied. One week you might be shipping a new Dashboard settings page, the next you're tracing a billing discrepancy across our finance integrations or teaching Olo AI Assist a new skill so a brand can update hours across hundreds of stores just by asking. You'll pair with senior engineers, review and ship code most days, and use Claude Code as a normal part of how you work.\nHow you’ll make an impact\nLearn the BrandX domain and technology stack, and get to know the brands, Finance partners, and Order Engineering teams we work with.\n\nOwn small-to-medium features end to end, from understanding the requirement to shipping it, with senior engineers available when you need them.\n\nWrite code that meets our standards, and participate in code reviews as both author and reviewer.\n\nBuild reliable and maintainable software, with test coverage that matches the risk of the change.\n\nContribute to the team’s delivery pipeline, including test coverage, CI, and deployment practices.\n\nUse Claude Code and GitHub Copilot as your default way of building, and help the team push what these tools can do.\n\nTroubleshoot and debug production issues, learning how our systems fit together along the way.\n\nParticipate in team ceremonies such as daily stand-ups and retrospectives, sharing updates and feedback.\n\nTake part in learning activities, including game days and training sessions, to build familiarity with Olo’s tools and processes.\n\nJoin the on-call rotation, with responsibilities that grow as you learn the team’s systems.\n\nWhat will set you up for success\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\n\n1 to 3 years of professional software engineering experience, or a strong portfolio of shipped projects.\n\nWorking knowledge of C# and .NET, and comfort reading code you didn't write.\n\nSome experience building web UIs. We use React and TypeScript, but any modern framework is a fine starting point.\n\nComfortable with SQL and relational data. A lot of our work is understanding how data moves between systems.\n\nYou understand the difference between unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and when each one earns its place.\n\nAI coding agents are your default way of working.
