This, in turn, creates a lasting impact on the world around us.\nJob Description:\nOlsson provides multidisciplinary design services for transportation-related projects including urban and rural highways, interchanges, and municipal roadways. As a Project Engineer on our Roadway team, you will lead design efforts and coordinate project tasks for transportation projects while serving as a technical resource for project teams. You will work closely with project managers to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with client expectations.\nIn this role, you will apply advanced engineering expertise, mentor junior staff, and help deliver impactful transportation solutions that improve mobility and strengthen communities.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nLead the design and preparation of roadway plans, specifications, estimates, and engineering reports.\nCoordinate project design activities and assist with managing project schedules and budgets.\nServe as a technical lead on roadway projects and provide guidance to engineering staff.\nPrepare and review design calculations, technical documents, and construction plans.\nCoordinate with clients, agencies, consultants, and internal project teams.\nAssist with project planning, scope development, and proposal preparation.\nPerform quality assurance and quality control reviews to ensure engineering accuracy and completeness.\nSupport construction administration activities, including responding to contractor questions and reviewing submittals.\nMentor junior engineers and technical staff.\nMaintain project documentation and ensure compliance with company standards and applicable regulations.\nQualifications:\nYou are passionate about:\nWorking collaboratively with others\nHaving ownership in the work you do\nUsing your talents to positively affect communities\nYou bring to the team:\nStrong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with diverse teams\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering\n6+ years of experience in highway and/or roadway design\nExperience leading transportation project tasks and coordinating project teams\nExperience working with local municipalities and/or DOT clients\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license required\nExperience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D\nStrong understanding of roadway design standards, project delivery processes, and transportation engineering best practices\n#LI-AF1\nAdditional Information\nOlsson specializes in engineering and design, client advisory services, planning, field services, and environmental.
